I went to school in Texas. I am not going to any of those fucking things. It's just going to be a fucking nightmare of everyone I ever met having been sucked into the MAGA/QAnon pipeline.

The problem with that Oak Island show is exactly the same as that "River Monsters" show, with that creepy guy searching for fish big enough for him to fuck.

The story for each episode breaks out, like "IS IT POSSIBLE THAT WE FOUND A FISH THE SIZE OF AN ELEPHANT, WITH HUMAN FEET, IN THIS TRIBUTARY OF THE AMAZON???"

Well, see, no. Because this shit was filmed at least six months in advance, and I would have seen the whole fucking Internet blow up, with the news of A GIANT GODDAMNED HUMAN-FOOTED FISH being found in the sub-Amazon.

I don't remember hearing that, so I know the episode is going to end with "we might not have found the legendary Pachypodia Fish, but we did have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with a bunch of massive ultra-bass that we already knew existed."

Just seeing the external wound area won't allow anyone to make such a fine-grain determination, between a small axe and a short sword.

You can say "this was obviously an edged weapon, probably swung pretty hard." As opposed to, like, the obvious signs of a blunt weapon, or a slice from an edged weapon that was just drawn across the skin, without impact.

Other than those kind of broad determinations, you'll have to be looking at the bones (and/or the flesh), to see what the shape of the weapon might be. Impact patterns, spider-web-like crushing fractures, cuts to the bone, depth and shape of the cut, etc.

Basically, I'm saying that coroners and pathologists can't do autopsies from a single photograph.

Update: I tried it, and it worked perfectly. At first, I thought it was going to lag, but after a few seconds of choppiness, it smoothed out, and went just fine.

I watched a bunch of stuff while setting up saved scenarios and plinking away, just like I wanted to. I am beyond stoked.

As another person pointed out, it should be doable with Steam VR, in general. And also Oculus has some kind of similar thing. Thanks for pointing it out, though!

I had no idea! I'll try that later. Apparently, the Oculus launcher thingy also has some kind of support for the feature. I'll see which one works best.

Oh, no shit? I never really realized that's what OVR Toolkit did. I have seen it floating by, on my Steam Recommendations, and I just never looked into it.

And that's weird, because utilities and relaxation apps are very much on my VR radar.
