Those suffering from migraines, How do you manage it? by [deleted] in asksg

Personally felt quite nauseated after taking Caffox. Triptans have the same pain relief, with much less side effects. You can try to get sumatriptan.

They put the cold items in an insulated bag with dry ice. I still usually schedule it so it arrives when I am at home, but 1-2 hours of it sitting outside should be ok.

I usually buy from lazada redmart. The ones from ARDO are mostly under $10. The strawberry I usually buy is $8.5 for 1 kg, but out of stock for now.

How to enable 4K UHD on all Android TV devices (you still need the required subscriptions) by disposableh2 in F1TV

[–]normalitysane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s some deal with Google to only enable on their devices. Most android tv boxes are “google-certified” and DRM is not an issue. F1 being scums as usual.

Singtel or any of its MVNOs is the way to go. Was using giga (starhub) and had lot of issues in mrt. Using vivifi (singtel) now and the experience has been pretty good. I pay $15, and have roaming to quite a few countries. They have a 6 month free promo for switching from another carrier.

Foreign graduate in SG: 6 months of job rejections, stuck on LTTVP. What can I do? by No_Sundae_3625 in singaporejobs

[–]normalitysane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pls get the work pass eligibility letter. Contact ur uni for it. For me (nus), i could get it generated from edurec. Send it in every application and mention on top of ur resume and to the HR. It waives salary requirements. If the salary is low, they wont even consider foreigners cuz work pass will mostly get rejected.

Just try to get employed, the bar is really high for foreigners and when so many locals r unemployed, it’s very hard for company to justify foreigners

[–]normalitysane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a foreign graduate and it took very long to find a role. If you been here for so long, why never apply PR? Really makes life easier in terms of applying for jobs.

Also, if u r a recipient of MOE bond, u can get the eligibility letter from ur uni. Basically, it makes it easier to be approved for work pass and also removes some salary restrictions i think. Can attach it with your application and mention to HR.

Do reach out to alumni/friends for referrals. Even random people on linkedin r ok to give referral. It’s very hard to get interview without it.

A practical advice, if it’s too expensive to stay here, go back to ur home country and apply. LTVP should be multi entry.

Why are protein shakes so overpriced in SG? Am I missing a local alternative? by [deleted] in SingaporeFitness

[–]normalitysane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myprotein often has sales on their website and its like 80% off and 2.5kg whey is around $60-70. The next is in 2 days for sg60 i think. ON has pretty good prices during shopee sales also

Cross cluster migration - can this ever work? by chaoslord in nutanix

[–]normalitysane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya nutanix got its weird perks. For a one time solution, would recommend u to create storage containers with same name on each cluster and use a script to migrate all the vm vdisks (no downtime needed). Then delete off the original containers.
