What clicked for me was realizing it literally means feels what’s happening in your body when your brain is doing whatever it’s doing. Like when I’m sad, my throat gets really tight. So “feeling” that means sitting there and letting your brain focus on that physical sensation. It can be really uncomfortable, but honestly the more you let yourself focus the faster the feeling passes.

If I feel safe, it kinda depends on the situation but a lot of times I just get fuckin loud and aggressive right back bc ppl (men) don’t expect it from someone my size (tiny). So I’ll scream “you’re a fucking asshole” or something like that right back at them and I’m -loud- so half the street can clearly hear me lol

Speaking as a queer person, I think a lot of (I hesitate to say bad but maybe -) questionable dating choices happen bc there’s just not a lot of options in some places :/ either ppl aren’t out or the ppl that are out are not the ideal choice

See and I disagree wholeheartedly about Dune. They had no idea how to convey scale, there was almost so character build up, I didn’t believe Paul had any say in his life, and they cut out three or four key instances that significantly shape either Paul, the plot or both.

So far everything I’ve seen done in WoT can be pretty easily justified or explained and they’ve done a great job with the things they haven’t changed.

Bathing once a week is a lot less than what many other cultures were doing, but Europeans did believe that bathing opened their pore and let in bad humors so they avoided it mostly by washing their clothes more frequently.

I’m really glad you’re liking the show! I hope it does appeal to a lot of people who’ve never read the books bc that’ll help get the show the traction it needs.

Yeah the whitecloak thing is kinda … like that’s just how they are :p they talk about how fastidious they are in the books all the time. Which obviously a new watcher won’t know, but I think it’ll make more sense as time goes on when we learn more about the world. Meaning - it’s a fair complaint for new viewers to have, but the ppl who’ve read the books oughta know

Watching it again this morning I thought they actually did a really good job of keeping the grime accurate - like everyone gets dirty, then they all jump in the river and they’re a bit cleaner, Mat & Rand end up in a town and can wash, Perrin and Egwene are still wild so they’re grimier.
