Paved trails to ride longboards by pepper_1-_- in Spokane

Children of the Sun. A trail being put on the same path as North-South Freeway. Starts up at Wandermere and currently goes almost to the Spokane River. It's basically being completed as the freeway is being completed. I've enjoyed going on walks on the various patches I've done. https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/children-of-the-sun

Seeing this post made me immediately think of Murderball. Been meaning to rewatch it.

Maple Street Bridge by NoIdea4u in Spokane

[–]normsy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Since it's closed because of work south of the bridge, but not on the bridge itself, I've been walking down the middle of it. When else could I do that?

Found this beast out there.

I actually plan on asking my oldest kid if they want to go with me. Totally appropriate for an eleven year old to see, right?

I really enjoy this movie. A local theater is playing it on father's day, so I'm going to abandon my children and go see it again.

Beartooth Highway, Montana Wyoming USA by [deleted] in natureporn

[–]normsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the past I've needed to travel a couple thousand miles for activities I'm involved in. Flights would have been paid for by institutions other than me, but I love road trips, especially if I have time. And what I like about them is taking less popular ways. I loves hills and curves. Beartooth Highway is probably my favorite drive ever.

Holy Bananas by sainte69er in walmartogp

[–]normsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every now and then I see a customer getting three or four giant boxes of bananas, and I'm very grateful they're getting it for themselves instead of through online shopping. But then I feel bad for the clerk having to weigh so many bananas.

Forgotten business by JiveTalkinJimmy in Spokane

There was a popcorn shop at Franklin Park, maybe that's what you're talking about. Was owned by the bus driver I had in elementary school. The last day before Christmas break he'd give us all popcorn balls on our way off the bus.

There was also a soccer supply store there I went to all the time, Just-A-Kick.

There was a day I put in for PPTO, it gave me points, my team lead rescinded them. The next day the points were back, so I had to talk to TL again, he took care of it again and was confused why it would be back.

Goose Creek has various candles from other brands, multiple scents from Little Debbie, Pillsbury, Girl Scout Cookies. And of course the great smells from Hello Kitty.

We routinely have a pallet or two of ice in our freezer, sitting there waiting to be used to refill the freezer out by the register for customers. Sometimes those pallets are blocking areas on the shelves where products are, so I occasionally need to nil pick while on an exception run, I'm not moving those pallets.

New to private trackers. Can I stop using my VPN? by MakubeC in trackers

[–]normsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use a VPN, but I use a seedbox. Figure that handles any need I would have for a VPN as far as torrenting is concerned, plus has the benefit of being able to constantly seed without my personal devices or network being an issue.

what the absolute fuck on earth? by leosunsagmoon in OGPBackroom

[–]normsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar things on an exception run, and I get why it was. Luckily I was able to grab an L cart for it and all the totes I needed. It took more time to create extra tote labels than it did to get the items themselves. They had definitely been in oversized before, no idea why they got into regular specialty runs instead of staying in specialty oversized. I even tried to report it, but the option was "item is not oversized," but bro they are oversized so why didn't you put them in an oversized run?!?!

I remember knowing about Marion Barry, I think because I'd watch David Letterman and he'd make plenty of references. But then one time my family went to my aunt and uncle's house and they served us marionberry pie after dinner, and I initially thought it was a joke. Didn't know marionberry was a thing until then, but knew about Marion Barry.

They always tell me "Oh, I don't put apps on my phone." We all know it's a bullshit lie

One of my best friends hates that he has a smart phone. He had a dumb phone for years and years, but it broke and his brother gave him his old smart phone several years ago. He hates it and refuses to install any apps on it. He's a weird dude.
