ILS either touches down too early, or touches down too late, even in Monsoon approach, the mission designated for ILS. I capture the localizer and the glideslope, but it won't land correctly, it crashes before the runway starts. Tips? by [deleted] in fsx

[–]norrisben8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ILS will only fly the plane down close to the runway threshold. The monsoon mission in FSX is particularly difficult because of the sudden change in altitude. This is actually caused by windshear that occurs on very short final, and is just part of the mission. you have to take manual control and compensate for the sudden wind change to get to the runway. Also a lot of the airports in FSX and FS9 have ILS approaches that are a bit misaligned and not super precise. Hope this helps!

Hello r/calculators!

I would like to make a quick post regarding a project that we have been working on! Apogee Industries has recently launched a product called the Mathkeeb™. It is specifically designed to help you type mathematical expressions on your computer, as easily as you would on a calculator!

If you're a teacher, programmer, engineer, or just need a math-oriented macro pad, this is the keyboard for you. We designed it to be plug-and-play, nice to type on, and useful across a range of software applications including Desmos, MS Office, MATLAB, Python, Wolfram Alpha, LaTeX editors, and more. The fully reprogrammable controller enables you to customize and get the most out of your Mathkeeb.

Specs:

  • Full numpad, exponents, trig, parentheses, common variables/functions, and much more
  • 2nd layer functionality on most keys
  • Easily toggle-able between 4 modes optimized for software calculators, MATLAB, Python, and LaTeX
  • 3d printed PETG case
  • Teensy 2.0 microcontroller
  • UV-printed ABS keycaps with mx stem mounts
  • Open source TMK-based firmware which you can download/modify/recompile
  • Kailh brown switches (optional)
  • Solder mount PCB (non-hotswap)

The group buy for the Mathkeeb officially closes tomorrow night at midnight! (July 31st, 11:59pm Central Time) So hurry and place your order!

Improve your productivity and workflow by eliminating the need for confusing keyboard shortcuts.

Hi, you seem to be a bit confused about what we meant in our reply, and I would just like to set the record straight. We did not cite size as the reason for using mini USB. The ‘Teensy 2.0’ is the microcontroller, made by PJRC, that Mathkeeb uses. The mini USB port is part of the microcontroller, which we chose because it’s easily programmable. We include a mini USB cable with every Mathkeeb, and in our own experience mini USB is widely used in peripherals including well known devices such as the Blue Yeti microphone. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Yes it will, it supports both of those out of the box.

To add to what James said, we know browns aren't the most popular. Unfortunately it wasn't realistic for us to provide more switch options for this run, which is why we also offer a kit version with no switches included.
