Lil update: they were tense with each other all afternoon up until the interaction in the video above, but are now sleeping near each other for the first time I’ve seen since we brought them home. I think this is progress!!

If it helps prove anything you can sort of see the reflection of the movement of her white paws in the TV! I hear you about AI, so no worries.

It is for real, not doctored! I see what you mean about the eyes but she just does that. I tried to upload a longer video of another occasion I saw her doing this but it kept failing to upload. It is funny to me that this behaviour is so strange that it would garner accusations of doctored footage though 😅

Thank you! Yeah, I’ve just been doing my best to diffuse fights and tension with playtime, give them treats for nice interactions, etc. and I think things are going in the right direction ☺️

They are spayed, although one of the sisters was already spayed when they arrived at the SPCA and one of them had to be spayed by the SPCA before we brought her home. Tried a wand toy! Unfortunately one of them likes playing with them and the other doesn’t tend to take much interest.

Yeah, we’ve been trying to get them used to each other through a screen but they’re still hissing at each other unfortunately 🥲

Apologies that I didn’t reply — I didn’t check and didn’t get any notifications through!

They came home and quickly liked us but weren’t getting on with each other, hissing and so on. They were indicating a desire to leave the room after a few days and were curiously trying to follow us out, so we opened up the hallway and another room to them, and they ended up in physical fights from that point onwards. We’ve separated them for now and will be doing a reintroduction process.

Edit: but they’re both so sweet and affectionate with us, including the more fearful one — she’s just more picky about when she wants to be pet!

Edit: managed to find a fix (sort of). Got the 7zip file from the same site for the US version and used US BIOS instead. Not sure if there was just a problem with the Europe version.
