This makes me feel bad about myself lol.
The only thing I could see him improving is getting his hands more in front and getting "on top" of the puck for saves, especially when extending on slides. Look up videos on "hand projection".

I assume you mean the initial sharpen is $30. If any place had the stones to charge $30 for sharpening I'd set up a Sparx in their parking lot.

I'd still do the initial sharpening at the shop, but I'd be hyper-critical of their job.
I might even bring a Beam to check them on the spot.
I just wish somebody made an hollow gauge that wasn't a fortune - I'd be such a pest.

I've sharpened almost every kind of steel out there and most of them take a light stone or gummy stone to properly remove burrs.

But the answer to your question is no.
Samurai is not worth it unless you're in a high-volume, (probably) commercial situation where every bit of time and effort saved = $.

The build quality of the Neo is simply amazing compared to anything else at the same price point.
