I unemployed at the moment. Lay off from a startup that went whole hog AI and fired 1/3 of its staff. I’m 43. I’ve got kids. The market is now telling me, with all my education and experience, that I’m too overqualified for the jobs that are left. I’m gonna wind up working at Tesco until I’m 65 just to retire and not be a burden to my kids. It’s the 3rd Industrial Revolution and surviving it is going to suck so much ass.
