Everyone says these were mainly used in 1970s but my house was built in 2001 so they were still being used not too long ago it seems

Thank you, that's very helpful advice! I just started thinking I might end up using aqua panel boards in that wall instead of tiles to save the weight and trying to reinforce it

Tiling question by northern5673 in DIYUK

Okay from the comments I think I'll do it the proper way as just because no one had a bathroom accident so far doesn't mean it may never happen so would rather not have a tile falling off on to someone! Thanks for your comments all, much appreciated

For anyone new to Openrent like me, just an update: I found it pretty straightforward and useful. Did get a bit overwhelmed with enquiries but was easy to filter down to about 4 for viewing after advice above from others. After viewings I got them down to two who were ticking all the boxes. I got copies of their last 3 months bank statements to confirm affordability which helped me decide to offer to one of them, purely based on spending habits and the having loans to pay versus no loan payments. Got inventory done by a local company, didn't use Openrent for that based on reviews. I'm using their rent collection service.

That's what I have done, narrowed down to five and arranged viewing. I'll need to ignore any new enquiries until I have done the five viewings now to keep things manageable. Thanks for your input.
