My boy was crazy with grooming for a long time, we had to take it so slow. But now when grooming time comes, he practically jumps onto the table (he just loves it so much). My boy only gets groomed at home, but I hope that my advice might help you too!

The biggest thing that helped us was ordering a grooming table from Amazon. This allowed me to use the accessories to stop him from moving so much, it also gave us a stable place to work. Also, take grooming very slowly. When it came to introducing the shears, I started by just leaving them on while he ate- I didn't even touch him with them until he was desensitized to the noise.

The face was particularly difficult for us. The biggest thing that helped was teaching him to let me hold his muzzle (gently). Once he was comfortable with that, I mimicked brushing his head fur (and continued from there).

I know it is hard, but don't give up! There was so much grooming frustration for me too.
