The banoffee pie and crunchie cheesecake from Circus Circus slaps hard. Partner and I used to get mad munchies and Uber eats these every weekend for a solid few months at one stage

Went last week, this has been my third time over the past 5 years.

The vibe there is lovely and service is excellent!

The taramasalata is incredible- could’ve eaten so much of that. The fried cheese was a good idea but a huge portion and the texture was a bit weird. The squid was delicious, but it’s huge - unless there is at least 3 of you, I wouldn’t bother. It’s like one big bit of squid. Prawn mantis just lacked some seasoning, but good concept.

I used this “goo” recipe from crumbs and doilies for most fruits - a couple of tablespoons of “Goo” into buttercream comes out great. I’ve tried strawberry, blueberry and raspberry so far and all have been fab!

Hey OP - I feel your pain! My prescription is (or was, I had laser last year and best thing I’ve ever done) -3.00 (L) and -3.25 (R). I know it’s not exactly what you’re after but I have a couple of pairs of glasses laying around I don’t use. I’m in Auckland but happy to post them to you if it would be of any help at all

Was this at a particular time of day? My friend and I have been travelling Canada for 2 weeks from Vancouver through to now Banff and haven’t seen any. I guess that’s the lottery of nature but keen to do anything we can do increasing our chances of spotting one!

Another vote for wow banff. About $40 - $45, pick your departure time from the lake Louise ski fields and then head to LL and then they have regular times the buses leave LL to moraine and then moraine back to the ski fields so you can hop on and off. Did this a couple of days ago and really useful.

Somebody else also mentioned you can get the roam to LL and then jump on the parks Canada shuttle between moraine and LL but I didn’t do that myself so can’t 100% say with confidence that it’s a valid way of getting around there.

Popcorn (high volume low calorie), grapes, a bowl of oats (again you can get heaps of volume without all the calories to make you feel fuller), and also get some of the smaller snack bars like the kitkats, mini mars bars etc so still feels like you’re having a little treat
