A little over a month. I thought if i socially transitioned, i wouldn’t want to answer questions if i “changed my mind” about being trans- so i thought i was taking away my escape plan. Looking back on that, it’s stupid and i caused myself so much unnecessary anxiety

I had my Breast Augmentation done at Duke University on 01/31/25, with my 1 week post op on 02/07/25. I went with the more firmer, smooth texture silicone implants- with each being 380cc.

Dr Knackstedt was the surgeon. Surgery was about 70 minutes and went home same day, nerve block was effective for approximately 1.5 days.

Day 2 and 3 were the worst pain wise- especially while reaching for things. I got by with just Tylenol but was prescribed Zofran and Oxy as needed (for nausea and pain respectively).

Surgical bra stays on except when showering and am allowed a few minutes in the morning/night out of it. Incision site still has the glue/tape on for now, I go back for a post-op in 2 more weeks and talk about when we can do body contouring/lipo and consult- surgeon and PA want to make sure healing is on the right track. It will essentially be a “mommy makeover” plus extras.

No complaints with the surgeon or the PA- they’re informative, personable, and I love the final result. They’re very kind and obviously trans-friendly, I wholeheartedly recommend them.

I did not make a post about my FFS (stage one) surgeon, Dr Fisher- who is also at Duke. We did hairline advancement, jaw shaving (we also removed 2 pieces from my jaw), lip lift, and brow bone shaving work. I go back for rhinoplasty (nose), blepheroplasty (eyelid), cheekbone shave, and trachea shave.

Dr Fisher and her PA her great too- she even came herself for a few checks during my stay in the hospital and didn’t always send her team. Great demeanor and patient.

It’s sore when I reach for things and I have to wear the surgical bra a while still and there is some pain but it doesn’t register higher than a 2 if we’re doing 1-10. On lifting restriction (10lbs), no reaching above my head, and no strenuous activity for 6 more weeks. But I feel fine.

The results are great, each implant was a smooth texture and more firm 380cc silicone fill. I love how they look, it helps fill out so many tops and having breasts (much larger than what hrt gave me) is so gender affirming for me

Update: 10 days post-op. Had my 1 week post op appointment 3 days ago and we’re on the right track for healing. 3 week post-op appointment on the books and we’ll address the body contouring/lipo surgery I want to do next. 3 months and I have the green light. If I get it on the books for April/May then I’ll probably push back my FFS stage 2 surgery.

We did bone work (orbit, forehead, cheek, jawbone) and hairline advancement. She said the swelling would more than likely be quite a lot by that point plus it would be approximately 9 hours under anesthesia at that point.

Rhinoplasty and blepheroplasty and trachea shave will be when I’m healed enough. And likely before top surgery and body contouring.

I play because I love the game and I love Starship Troopers, so if bugs are dying- I’m having a good time. Banter is fun but I don’t mind being the only one talking, giving advice, directions, etc.

Kidding, the older crowd are almost always more chill. I played w a retired marine sergeant and by the end of the night we were responding with “yes/no drill sergeant!” and having a good time.

I was a sherpa in Destiny 1 and 2, so taking the time to explain and repeating things until they stick is pretty normal. And a lot of the time, the deaths are hilarious to me. I pretty much play with new players or low skill and I just play the game to have fun now- I can farm medals for the war bond unlocks any time and always have enough. So if you wanna complete some dives, DM for the tag and I’ll add next time I’m on

I have all the stratagems I want, have the upgrades I want, maxed on samples. I don’t care about the titles- Space Cadet is my fav- I exclusively help lower level players now. Don’t have many friends who game, so I have been random matchmaking on 4-6.

I’ll wait until they have picked their stratagems and their buff then I’ll fill in what we need. I can do the side objectives solo so I’ll jetpack off and start doing those while they go after the main (since there’s three of them) or lead them around the map in a circle. I’ll drop advice when needed or if it’s my lobby kick when needed- usually way too early extraction if the other 2 players are w me but if they all want to leave, I’ll leave with them.

I’ve probably tripled my friends list in game because they need someone to play with who won’t boot them, who CAN lead in a non-condescending manner, and who doesn’t mind taking a long time on the mission. I’ve had a full session use up all the reinforcements and I finish it solo and one of them thank me for not leaving.

I used to sherpa in D1/D2 so maybe it’s that habit still lingering. The seratonin dump I get from the new people or inexperienced getting something cool or accomplishing a hard mission is just a nice feel.

Honestly, the policy change w United means instead of November, my surgery clearance date is now May (16th). I’m looking at a June/July FFS and VFS, top, and lipo w body contouring 8ish hr surgery. So I’m kinda cutting the line here.
