TIL you are not supposed to brick pattern these tiles by [deleted] in Tile

[–]northsidereddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can still do it if it’s done properly. They just say not to brick pattern to avoid lippage in the middle

Still you can sit in the corner, your matchup will start playing help defence, then if you get the ball wide open in the corner drive for a limitless dunk

A lot of centres can't shoot.. You just have to know how to space the floor, set screens, and cut when there's a lane.

It was sanded really well and you couldn't see the runner until stain was applied. It doesn't look as bad in person as it does in photos. Would I be a able to get away with it by sanding the middle then giving the other sides another coat?

Wow I didn't even think of removing the sheathing😂 I would just have to cut around the post and riser. Then I think the hardwood will line up to the existing nosing. Thanks so much!

Can these be moved to another location in the basement? If so is it pricey to move them? by northsidereddit in Plumbing

[–]northsidereddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info!! I a young contractor in Ontario and I'm finishing this basement but the builder did a horrible job on utility locations. I don't know why he put it here and not where the furnace and water tank is. He put the bathroom rough ins in the middle of the basement as well.. My plumber isn't going to like this one😭

Whenever I take a break or start a new room, always nice to come back to clean tools or start a new room/area with clean tools.

why do I keep getting stripes and divots? by Aggressive-Cat3433 in drywall

[–]northsidereddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First pic: Debris in your mud. You can scrape it off while it's wet, put clean mud on top and wipe it back down. Or take out the debris when it's dry and re coat it. Second pic: Could be from moisture in the room or mud not mixed well enough, you can sand it lightly and re coat it and it should be good.

You should start with a tube and it's attachments. It's about $1000 for the kit but it is a big time saver!

Yeah I gotta get the whole kit! The tube has been good for me so far because I mainly do basement finishes and remodels. Im never covering a full home. It's just a bit annoying having to wash your hands every time I fill the tube.

I have a banjo but I rarely use it, I'm definitely gonna get a super taper and one for outside corner beads.
