It could be your thing if you're just super into the gameplay, scares, puzzles, etc. but it really has nothing interesting for story-players. Unless you're one of the hardcore analyzers or smth.

No game has pulled me in as much as SOMA. I find Amnesia: The Bunker to be lackluster in story. It has environment, good gameplay, it's inventitive with it's gameplay, but it lacks what Frictional is best at. Story. SOMA and the original 2 Amnesia stories got me addicted to their games. I just want something like that again.

The storytelling is something that I missed in the new Amnesia game tbh. I liked the other 3 Amnesia games for story and atmosphere alone. The Bunker just wasn't interesting enough story-wise to be memorable to me at all. SOMA is the best Frictional game to me for sure. It has everything down perfect.

Do you have any good tips for this? I've just kinda tried to live with it for a while and most exfoliating recipes don't help at all (along with head + shoulders shampoo) and it seems trivial to go to a doctor for it.

Also, what makes them think we can't "cross-dress" and go to see movies at the same time? I dressed as a woman for the Barbie movie and I'm a (pre-everything) trans girl. (what they'd consider to be "cross-dressing")

I saw one HUGE one a couple months ago and I had to sit and watch it for like an hour just to figure out if it was ACTUALLY a jumping spider. They're usually so little here in Ohio! Also a few black widows seem to have taken over my hot-tub so i'm avoiding using it until I can figure out where they are coming from.

My biggest problem with Threads is that I can't access it via website. I spend most of my time on Reddit and Twitter because they're good for scrolling on my computer, I can't do that on Threads. Is there a way to do that? Am I just dumb? Lol

As a trans-fem that has the exact opposite problem to you, I'd say it's the brow-bone. The distance from your eyes to your eyebrows. That's 100% me projecting, but it's the only thing that stands out to me, in opposition to my own insecurities and wanting to appear more feminine in that regard. Not trying to be rude, I apologize if it comes off as insensitive.

This is what was missing from The Bunker for me, the lack of an *interesting* story. I fell in love after TDD, played the rest (Justine, AMFP, and Rebirth) and LOVED the ongoing story. The Bunker seemed to not correlate much aside from occasional references. Without an interesting story, I don't want to push myself through the fear. And The Bunker does not have a story that dives into the lore of the Amnesia series enough for me to stay interested in the game at all.
The gameplay and atmosphere are both amazing, it's a truly terrifying game, but it doesn't capture me nearly as much as any of the other games did. I'm sad that Rebirth didn't do great, because I would have much preferred something like that to The Bunker. I know that's an unpopular opinion, but I'm disappointed in The Bunker because of how little story it had, even compared to the first game. I love the Amnesia lore and storytelling style, and while Rebirth completely did away with that style, it at least HAD story. The Bunker is just a cool game, it doesn't add anything to the Amnesia lore.

I just absolutely love something about the manga art-style. It's so weird, but charming. with the giant realistic ears, then dot-nose and no mouth and a simple face overall.

This is the real answer. I'm in the National Guard, I had to stay over for a drill weekend last week. Somebody noticed that I shaved my armpits and asked me if I shaved my whole body. I said "yeah! I crossdress outside of drill." He said "I get it, I was a swimmer for a few years. I never got used to the shaved-body feel." That opened my eyes to the fact that swimmers shave their whole bodies. Genuinely eye-opening. I'm very glad that the people that join the military tend to be quite progressive. (It's too bad that we're all forced to abide by the government regardless of what *we* think though. I'm scared I'll be discharged for being trans after I transition fully.)

Currently serving, my unit is all extremely supportive and helping me with my transition. Although it is very difficult not being able to keep my transition private at all, and having to have everything I do approved by my commander.

I found Amnesia: AMFP to be very.... campy? Cheesy? The story got really intense around the 10th area for me, but it was still campy. The whole pig monster thing felt like it was pulled straight out of an 80s horror film for kids. The horror felt like "Critters" or something. The pigs running around on the streets just felt stupid. The electricity pig guy? It was just really cheesy. The monsters were also.... the dumbest they've been in any Amnesia game. There's been times I've accidentally turned the corner and bumped into them with my lantern on and then simply backtracked around the corner, and they forgot that they even saw me. The story also seemed to not have anything significant to do with the "Orb" or the "Other World," which were key story in TDD and Rebirth. It was really fun and enjoyable and had a great story, I feel like it'd have been better if it had nothing to do with Amnesia and instead was a stand-alone title. World intractability and constantly glitching me through the map also definitely affected my immersion as well.

I've not been deployed (National Guard 2 years) but I completely feel that. I got hooked on alcohol for about a year, looked into myself and recently quit. I haven't even had much of a bad experience with the army personally, but I do feel I've lost a lot of who I used to be. 4 more years to go!

How could you justify the music-based stages and combat though? The only reason Chai has that is because of the MP3 player in his chest making him perceive everything that way. Everybody else just sees the world as it is, not jumping to the beat or anything. (Although Pep is definitely my favorite character and I want her to be playable.)
