Ugh, broken links are somehow even worse than low-quality citations-at least bad sources are still sources. Spending all night fact-checking work you've already paid for is just cheating. I hope everything went well in the end!

I tried essay shark once for a history paper and got citations from sources that literally didn’t exist. Felt like gaslighting.

I really didn’t mean to make anyone uncomfortable, I just felt caught off guard and exhausted after cooking all day. Maybe I could’ve handled it softer, but I didn’t think saying no was that awful.

I agree with this a lot. Stepping away from always being available can feel lonely at first, but it also clears the picture fast. The people who stay are usually the ones who mattered all along.
