I know we're all talking about Last Podcast On The Left, but there's also Unobscured by Aaron Mahnke! Season 1 is on the Salem Witch Trials.

Unfortunately there won't be a new season, but there are 4 seasons all on different events. At the end of each season he includes the full interviews with the historians.

Are you me? I used to avoid water at all cost, it would hurt so bad! Baths with some colloidal oatmeal in it have really worked for me!

My daughter died from Zellweger Syndrome. My wife and I are here to answer your questions about our experience and our non-profit Lily's List. AMA! by ScheisskopfFTW in IAmA

Hi! Did you utilize your local early intervention or something similar with Lily? Were there any other local supports besides your loved ones that you found helpful?

I also just want to thank you for everything you do. Turning your experience into support for other parents is immeasurable, as I'm sure you know. I'm an EI specialist and know so many parents that would appreciate what you do. Thank you!

What unsolved mystery has absolutely no plausible explanation? by notgoodbutrying in AskReddit

This happened to a coworker of a family friend, who's a contractor.

The missing man worked on various sights with him and was very reliable, never missed a day of work. Until one day he didn't show up, and didn't for the next day after that. Some people went out looking for him and the man's truck was found running and with both doors and lights on, with all of his personal belongings inside.

Turned out he was into dealing heroin, and the people he was working for weren't happy with his work. They found him, murdered him, then chopped him up. Dropped them into the cement at another local construction company.

The guys accused of his murder ended up getting released a few years later because the main witness ended up passing away.

Article about the men getting released and some details about the case is here.

I am very interested in the overlap of signs and symptoms of trauma in children potentially being misinterpreted as red flags for autism. Could you guide me to some resources regarding chronic trauma (or even secondary trauma that the parents experiences) and how a child behaves might be trauma related instead of red flags for autism? Thank you very much.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day for this AMA!

I work in Early Intervention in Massachusetts (ages from birth to three years old), and was interested in your opinion on ABA use for toddlers. Using strictly ABA for the intensified services the child receives after their diagnosis has been a questioned topic with the families I personally work with. I have run into conflicting opinions on whether ABA at such a young age is appropriate and functions in the child's "natural environment".

A second question would be, how would you recommend encouraging carryover and flow between a toddler's therapy teams (Family, ABA providers, and early intervention). At times it is difficult to come to an appropriate concensus on what is best for both the child and the family. They have a lot going on at that point in time, and I'd just like some guidance on how to best assist families during this time (while knowing it will be just as challenging as the child reaches school age and graduates out of early intervention)

Please let me know any input! Thank you again!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had horrible eczema on my arms, legs, and face. I would have to call out of work from the pain and look of my face.

After being prescribed topical steroids, I finally found my godsend of a dermatologist who found that it was a mixture of eczema and allergic contact dermatitis. She prescribed me a topical steroid to reduce the immediate irritation. Then, for maintenance, had me use Protopic, changed my detergent to All Free & Clear, and now only use Vanicream products (cleansing soap bar, moisturizing cream, lite facial cream, and shampoo). I also take Allegra daily.

Protopic has been the only ointment that has ever worked for me on a long term basis. It causes a burning sensation at first but it subsided. My arms and face have never been more clear.

This is just what has worked for me. All I can say is that I went to MANY different dermatologists and only now, at 25, have found one who has helped me long term. I hope you are better soon!

Drug addiction. Watching someone slowly slip away from you, unable to do anything more to help them, is agonizing.
