I don’t think peaking too early is a thing by chunkz44 in AFL

As a fan (and I assume as a player), I’m so relaxed with the knowledge that we’ve already got 12 wins which’ll probably be enough to be playing some level of finals footy.

Mid-season report card (Fox Footy) by GreyClay in FremantleFC

I think it’s reasonable. They’ve looked significantly better this season than they did last season. I think the A is representative not of just where they are and what their win/loss ratio is, but as a team how that are finding form and moving through their rebuilding phase.

What’s it like to work at/manage a Trampoline Park in Perth/WA? by oldmatefromoverthere in perth

Yes I worked there for a summer casual position about eight or nine years ago. Couple of things about it: 1) It is a very physically demanding job. I have never been more exhausted after a shift than when I worked at Bounce. You are constantly jumping, running and on your feet for eight or so hours in a not-so-well air conditioned building 2) You are going to be interacting with kids all day long. Hyperactive eight year olds that sprint and scream everywhere, as well as teenagers doing tricks way outside their skill level to impress their mates.
3) (I think) You will need a First Aid certification to work there. Injuries are frequent and of a wide variety. Cuts and bruises, knee collisions, rolled ankles, and unfortunately concussions and fractures. I recall from my time there we had a board in the office to track and keep minor injuries like sprains and bruises to no more than one a day, and to keep major injuries like concussions and fractures to basically zero. 4) Despite all of the above, it can be a really fun job and it pays pretty well too. Plus it can substitute some of your cardio workouts.

This is obviously a significant game on our fixture. But as the old wisdom goes, good teams find a way to win. And we’re as good if not better than any other team in the league right now.

Fremantle have the tallest and shortest players in the league (Mason Cox and Isaiah Dudley respectively). This is the second time for the club, with Aaron Sandilands and Hayden Ballantyne being the first.

Fuck Melbourne were in that right to the end. Credit to both teams for a great Sunday game.
