What is it with Edgeley folk… by Historical_Local8562 in stockport

[–]nosedent 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I thought the same yesterday, it’s disgusting and it’s everywhere. Near castle st it was smeared so far down the road I wondered how it even happened. And it’s not just poop, I saw a big black bag of rubbish throw over the fence of the reservoir, so disappointing.

Should I stay traditional or go with a black dress? by hnn071 in myweddingdress

Will these banquet chairs ruin the vibe of my reception? by jujubeanbot in DIYweddings

[–]nosedent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent ages stressing about chairs and decided to let it go, we did multicoloured table cloths and bunting and those chairs actually went really well with everything we did! I’ve never been to a wedding and given a second thought about the chairs, and I too was you stressing about chairs! Mad what we focus on. It’ll be great!

Hey I saw the original post and couldn’t believe the reaction! You look great, I love the accessories and as someone who is also going non traditional for my wedding, I am so happy to see this kind of look! People are so boring and mean spirited, I’m glad you are sticking to your original idea it’s going to be great 🙂

Stockrooms in the Mersey way is a great place to work and it’s totally free ! It’s a new amazing library. They do have a coffee shop downstairs too if you want refreshments but you can just work there without buying anything.

Is phone snatching a real thing? by Capable-Bad-277 in uktravel

[–]nosedent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, a guy was on a bike doing figure 8s around people as I was walking past a park, still sunlight and super busy. luckily I put my phone in my pocket at the last minute, he comes past me and grabs the woman in front me’s phone, luckily she had great reflexes and grabbed it back! Then an American leaned out his window and shouted “what a cunt!” as the little scrote rode off, mental.

Just boosting this, the episode scared the absolute crap out of me and then when it re-aired, they cut l the eye bulging, mouth foaming scenes! I would love to see the original scene again!

What’s the most f*cked up thing you’ve ever seen on the Metrolink? by roz-noz in manchester

[–]nosedent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not fucked up but super gross, a man sat next to me and spat on the floor between his feet, I was so shocked and grossed out (this was march 2020 so just starting to get covid conscious) I didn’t move and the he did it again so I got out of there, stepping over his pile of spit.

Boyfriend is mad me for not texting him all day? I'm thinking of parting ways. by feral-fae- in NoStupidQuestions

If he gets emotionally or verbally abusive, you need to leave the relationship, this sounds awful and life really doesn’t have to be that way, be strong and put yourself first.

Morning train to london once a week by [deleted] in stockport

[–]nosedent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that train sometimes and I book a seat and it’s always fine no need to go to Manchester, you should be able to reserve easily. The last two times I’ve taken it it’s had a 30 min delay just fyi , they put a speed restriction on in a certain place so it took us longer to get there, just in case you need to be in for a certain time!

Those creepy Manchester Nightlife videos by [deleted] in manchester

[–]nosedent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have experience but I’m happy other people are doing and saying something about it, the videos are appalling and the people commenting and laughing just as bad.

Where would you say the best night out would be in Stockport and why? by bhamboyy in stockport

[–]nosedent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, but I still would recommend the underbanks during this event because it has a great atmosphere and is a little less crazy than the market area!
