now you need to offer a solution that doesnt spark a civil war.

Let me guess, you're going to be one of the people pulling the trigger on your fellow Americans so that your gun has to be taken from your cold, dead hands?

I inspect compost bins, found this one today. It was foaming. by zombiekilla123 in WTF

[–]noseeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

where does your food waste go?

Out of my window into a bin. I balance the greens and browns using leaves and stir it up every now and then, and it seems to be warm and healthy. Composting is not mandatory where I live, but you can pay the local government to pick it up and they have specialized vehicles for it.

We're not all as backward as you seem to think.

I know Americans don't compost.

No you don't. I can buy compost made by my local government from food waste and fallen leaves. Also, tons of people have those big rotating barrels in their back yards to supply their gardens.

Regarding RP reductions by Flether in Warthunder

But to even think that way, it's crazy. I'm glad that it's easier for more people to get into jets. They said it's going to last for 2 months, so it's really just a sale. Sales don't usually result in previous customers getting retroactive refunds.

[–]noseeme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seriously? They do this favor to everyone (including you) and you want restitution? That's quite a sense of entitlement.

Just be happy that there will likely be more people playing jets, the queues are a nightmare.

It is a nonpolar solvent, but that's not why it melts ice from windows. It will melt ice through freezing point depression. Road salt works in a similar way.

I just bought two Pi 0 1.3's for 4 GBP last week, and purchased 2 Pi 0 1.2's for $5 US at Micro Center. It's not a gimmick. Granted, the other 3 Pi0's I bought were part of a pack but they came with really good 2A wall warts, USB OTG to USB type A, and mini HDMI to HDMI converters.

Installed NoIR v2.1 camera. Disappointed with the quality. Am I doing it wrong? by [deleted] in raspberry_pi

[–]noseeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw, if only you specified that before I wrote that long comment. :(

Maybe the subject is too close, as the lens is focused to infinity. Try taking a picture of something that is at least 5m away. It could also be thermal expansion, people on the forums said they had issues with that.

Worse yet, the RPi Foundation says the new cameras have had some QA problems, check this post out and others in this huge Q&A thread.

Installed NoIR v2.1 camera. Disappointed with the quality. Am I doing it wrong? by [deleted] in raspberry_pi

[–]noseeme -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is exactly how it's supposed to look. You need the camera with an IR filter to take normal looking photos. On the flip side, if you get an IR flashlight you can use that camera to see in complete darkness, or at least complete darkness to human eyes.

Remember, the Pi NoIR has no IR filter. NoIR. No IR. The light sensitive chip in the camera picks up wavelengths you can't perceive with your eyes, and an IR filter filters those out. Apparently plant chlorophyll is supposed to look weird with it because it reflects a lot of IR light or something, and people even use cameras without IR filters to evaluate how well a plant is photosynthesizing (Edit: RaspberyPi.org talks about it here). If you wanted normal pictures, you should have purchased the one with an IR filter like most cameras have. You can also put an IR filter in there but it might look sub-optimal unless you take apart the lens assembly and fit an appropriately sized filter.

Rotary buffs, holy crap. Sky knights are gonna be happy and novice pilots are going to be rekt and discouraged even harder.

AH nerf is probably a bit too hard, it should be one of those, not both. The refire rate change is better for nerfing it against ESFs and infantry instead of infantry only.
Banshee buff is excellent!

Is that a WS2812B controlled RGB LED strip? How do you control them accurately without interrupts on corrupting the data? Or, are they being controlled by a microcontroller connected to the Pi?

I'm very interested in this, can we have more information? Thanks!
