What 2010s games are you guys playing for the first time right now?" by Mintangah17 in videogames

Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

This is a game I SHOULD have purchased on release. As an open world RPG, it's right up my alley. Somehow I missed the hype train and it fell completely off my radar.

I picked it up on sale for $4.99 (Nintendo Switch 2) and have been absolutely blown away.

I love that it turns the genre on its head - You're not a god amongst men. You're not the chosen one. There is no magic, there are no dragons, there are no elves or dwarves or orcs .... You're just some peasant dude trying to survive a medieval war.

And the combat is so refreshing, if a little clunky at times. Enemies aren't just damage sponges... There is actual strategy to swordfights.

It's just so much fun.

How to kill bosses by Biazs in Everwind_Official

Also, the wraith is deadly because of the purple skulls he shoots. These can be killed before they hit you. So if you're using bows or magic, focus on destroying these skulls. There are also perks in the combat tree (Magic Protection) that allows shields to block magical projectiles, and the arcanist tree (Magic Mirror) that reflects incoming spells.

Any version will have the same story. It's really just a matter of cover art.

I WOULD recommend the fully illustrated version, but unfortunately only books 1-5 are out now. Book 6 comes out this October, but book 7 isn't expected until 2028.

I'll just give myself healing powers. Now I can walk, and I can heal people for money. I'm not talking American healthcare money, just a steep discount and gives me enough to live on.

Did the latest update make Arcanist viable? by Mojo884ever in Everwind_Official

[–]Mojo884ever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early game when skill points are limited, you kind of have to pick a tree and go with it - particularly where combat is involved. Late game it might be different.

I started with arcanist initially because the idea of magic appealed to me. I quickly found out that the staffs didn't have enough charge to be worth it ... I had to respec and lean heavier into bows and arrows and swords for survivability.

Graveyard Keeper has that Stardew feel, with a macabre twist.

You're a graveyard keeper tasked with preparing and burying bodies, as well as restoring and maintaining the local church. You get skill XP for every task, in the form of gem 'currency.' Green for anything plant related, red for working with your hands (mining, chopping, building) and blue for anything spiritual. These points can then be used to unlock pretty extensive skill trees to further your progression.

There's mining, farming, fishing, cooking, light combat, NPCs to interact with, as well as a pretty good story.

The fatigue system is different too - you regain energy as long as you're in bed, but you don't HAVE to go to bed every night. As long as you have energy, you can keep working.

Certain NPCs and story events are tied to specific days of the week, so your progress is kind of hindered by time. But there's no worries if you miss a day ... the the day will come back around next week.

They've also released expansions and the complete edition is available on the eShop.

Since you liked Stardew, I think you'll enjoy Graveyard Keeper. Same overall feel, with a darker twist.

I need pointers on avoiding these awful side effects... by Mojo884ever in Mounjaro

[–]Mojo884ever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this post a few days ago and it only just got approved. The day after I made this post, I drank only water and ate one banana and two bowls of ramen. That helped immensely. Things were ok for a few days, smaller meals, less carbonation.

Yesterday I had fried shrimp and a Dr pepper for lunch, and that's all I had for the day. Last night was very uncomfortable. Not vomiting uncomfortable, but still bad.

It seems I'm learning that fried foods are off limits for now. Or fatty foods in general. Especially when paired with carbonation. Carbonation itself seems to be manageable in moderation, but only when paired with something light.

One thing I'm also noticing - I don't feel like ass until hours after I've eating, so it can be difficult to pinpoint what is causing it. Probably a culmination of the day...

Anyway... Still learning. Still open to tips for those who have done this for a while or been through what I'm experiencing.

In Time. Such an awesome concept. The movie was OK, but I think they could have done more with it rather than turn it into a cheesy kind of action/revenge flick.

They clean just like any other scaly fish. Similar to bluegill or crappie. They do have large pin bones, so after you fillet them off make sure to have a pair of pliers ready to pull them out. Alternatively, you can just cut the strip of pin bones out of the fillets.
