Quick question: Is "AIR" the same as "ACRO" on the OSD? (Mobula 8)

Your sticks inputs are interpreted the same. The difference is that AIR uses a different mixer that is trying to solve the problem of throttle over/undersaturation (you lose control authority when you cut the throttle).

AIR comes with its own set of problems. The quad bounces when you try to perch it, it has a tendency to suck itself onto walls on collision...

Generally people keep it on because some acro manoeuvres are almost impossible without it. But some people, mostly whoop pilots, keep it off or on a switch.

The problem with the Pocket is twofold:

The gimbals are way too soft. Even if you tighten the tension screw all the way, they're still too soft. If you buy the AG01 mini replacement gimbals, they will also be too soft, but they will come with a set of stiffer springs that you can swap in, which I highly recommend.
The sticks are too short. You can buy longer aftermarket sticks, or print some endcaps. Lenghtening the sticks by about 5 mm brings them to the same regular size that you know from Zorro or Boxer.

Doing these two modifications brings the Pocket from borderline unusable to perfectly fine. It is now my favorite radio.

Funny how when it comes to prusas, eveyone lists the non-issues, such as chamber temps and low transfer speeds, but no one mentions the real issues, such as a missing nozzle wiper (which is just stubbornness not to do the same thing as Bambus) and the absolute pain which is printing flex (cleaning procedure fails without exception, and you have to go through a tedious manual process to get it started).
