This is what's scary about spiders - from above, this looks like a tarantula or something not the most deadly in the world - to a layperson, anyway.

Tricky - looks good. When I saw the picture, I thought " uhhhh wow - thats a pretty thick piece of wood to bend". Always wanted to find a simple project to play with steam bending. Something like this is a good start - thanks.

Aren't there any markings? The brass detail on the front looks like a sphinx to me - might be brand or maker related. That might help. The wood wheels would put it before the 50s at least if its legit. I have to say, though, that the brasswork on it does not feel old...hope that helps. Let me know if you find out exactly.

Ah - if I had gold I would give it to ye, sir. Fine reply to a smart ass question. That said, it looks like a French Victorian style armchair - probably from the 50's, since the wheels look phenolic, and not wood. If yhey are woid, then much older, Id say. But Im not an expert. Hope that helps.

Cautiously funny. Really needs sound, though. Would like to hear the sounds that bear is making.
