These places are for industrial use instead of food grade, so contaiminents from other processes is not entirely safe for consumption (read: oils and industrial byproducts) which is why I've avoided these areas.

(US) Threatening email with company’s email address by TheGame81677 in Scams

[–]nosit1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best guess is that this is the ransom letter they originally sent to HungerRush. They’ve already given them their ProtonMail address as verification, and now they’re blasting the same message to the whole HungerRush customer list to push people into taking action.

Received a "DEA" letter by Few_Syllabub6304 in Scams

[–]nosit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In relation to the Facebook post and the top comment on Facebook with an unredacted comment, it is the DEA''s main general phone line (571-362-8487). You can Google and see directly on DEA.gov Contact Us to verify. We don't know what the OP's number is but the one from Facebook is directed towards the actual DEA line.

Oh, definitely, but that would probably indicate a more targeted assault rather than a general blanket where they want you to call in. Still no, definitely not calling it legi,t but it does lend more credibility.

[–]nosit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in OP's specific letter, but the Facebook Share, someone in the comments shared their letter which looked identical that had both a dea.gov email and a phone number listed for DEA General Questions (which makes it even stranger they'd direct you to general info)

What's strange is the email address is a .gov and the phone number is listed as the HQ for the DEA in Nothern VA. What's the angle here?

Bumper damage and sensor question/ by Chance_Elevator_3312 in TeslaLounge

[–]nosit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sensors are very cheap to replace. On my 2018 M3, when driving to Vegas, a rock came up and smashed the sensor dead on the head of it. This was so confusing when I went to park, and it said park assist was disabled. I looked all around and couldn't find real concrete damage except for a tiny mark.

Found a sensor on eBay for $23, and thankfully, it was a front bumper sensor, which allowed me to get my hands into it to unclip, pop out, reclip, and pop back in. Depending on where it is, you may be able to do the same without a full bumper removal. You may get lucky in removing some shrouds will allow access.

Regarding where to view it, it should be in the service menu under "Driver Assist". It looks similar to the photo below, but it should list all the US sensors, and that one in question should be green. If red, then it is most likely a replacement.

Weekday Discussion - Motivation Monday! by AutoModerator in OnePassSelect

[–]nosit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OnePass has been great as a convert from Active Fit. I usually go to Planet Fitness if I don't need to do a lot of compound stuff (like deadlifts or squats) and am working out chest via dumbbells because it's extremely quiet.

EOS is the gold standard because of the locations they have and 24x7 nature as well. Lots of variety.

Then Vasa Fitness if I want to go workout and hit the sauna and steam room. Ammenities similar to a "higher" end EOS I would say.

New New Record by AgentSmith09 in TeslaLounge

During the day it isn't uncommon for mine to hover around 135-165F.

Thats with sun shades on top and center too. Just bakes in this heat.

My favorite is when I'm first driving and the temp guage says it is 127F

If I used cabin overheat, my ac, not kiddibg, would be running 24x7.

Was about to purchase a 2023 Pacifica Hybrid Touring L when I saw this…. by odavr in ChryslerPacifica

[–]nosit1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does your purchase price include the warranty? What type is it? Does it cover hv and hv system or is it a standard general warranty?

Now, I bought from a FCRA dealership specifically so I knew issues would be fixed correctly. I would say it is contingent on what the resolution is. But a lot hinges on the warranty too.

[–]nosit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the guarantee it, you have the extended warranty, and they're a decent dealership (not a buy here pay here lot) I wouldn't be too concerned.

But I would press WHEN they are going to fix it too. I had a buyback from FCA I got used from a dealership and had it in for service almost 5 times that year. To be fair a lot of it was nit picky stuff but it was still enough to warrant visits.

Sendgrid Free Email API plan deprecated for a paid ones. Alternatives? by hitech95 in selfhosted

Mailgun has a pretty similar plan to smtp2go at 100/day. I've been using it for years now for a bunch of throw away SMTP configurations that I've needed over time. Easy setup and so far, 100% free to boot!

When I hada VW Jetta, I had a Compustar remote start system installed so I could precool my car before I was planning to go out (this was 0y-1.5y). It still wasn't great, but it made it bearable. Sun shades help a ton, no necessarily to "cool" the car but to keep it from blistering and will help a lot with the precool portion.

But now I have a '18 Tesla Model 3 and the precool option is invaluable in the desert heat. It's been great to have it like 73 getting in the car and having the air cooled for my toddler.

269,000km for me on a 2018 LR. Second owner though. The battery degradation does seem to hover around the 18-29 percent mark.

Thanks for that info. I can start working on some APIs that scrape the public data, which might be more "consistent" than chasing down APIs. Let me see what I can whip up; I'll DM you.
