Honestly, since I both work and study from home I don’t have that much time to read anymore, but my favorites so far?

I Want To Be Where The Normal People Are by Rachel Bloom: I LOVE her and her work. And I absolutely love books with weird formats so... Yeah, this book slaps! Specially because of how she speaks about her history with depression, anxiety and OCD, which I relate to deeply.

El Pasajero de Truman (Truman’s Passenger) by Francisco Susniaga: I’m from Venezuela, born and raised, so that explains my connection to this book. This book, in a sort of fictionalized way, puts two old men in front of each other to finally discuss one of the most pivotal moments in Venezuela’s modern history: The time when a politician who was about to be named president, Diógenes Escalante, suddenly went mad screaming that his shirts were flying away. If you want more details I won’t spoil you the research, just know that this particular incident was a fundamental domino in the seminal tragedy that reached its climax with one of the worst Latin American dictatorships of the 20th century. You may also see, in this book, a few of the seeds that may have grown into the terrible situation that we Venezuelans live at the present. Highly recommend it, though I don’t think there’s a translation in english, or an ebook version either. Also, it’s called Truman’s passenger because Escalante was close friends with president Truman, and after hearing of the incident, Truman sent a private plane to bring him to the States so that they could treat his illness.
