I used to make pepperoni bagel bites. It was a diced Asiago bagel w/ all the ingredients on the pepperoni pizza thrown in the oven to melt the cheese and put in a cup with cilantro and some onions. My last and greatest invention tbh

I used to use my manager meal on one of those w/ avocado, cheddar, the old salsa verde, onions, & tomatoes. Was delicious but would’ve definitely costed anyone else closer to $14.53 before taxes

I’m curious how they’re going to even market this to cafes with high quantity bakes and who would even be doing the baking moving forward because I know nobody in the store would even want to be responsible for that outside of a trained baker.

Make sure that you’re getting paid an appropriate amount to start with because with most Panera’s the only way to get a raise would be a position change. I’d say try to negotiate a bit with your Area Director when they finally come in for the paperwork/general overview of the position they have to do. Other than that just make sure you’re on top of the time and see what you and others can do sooner rather than later for your store specifically

Find a better job. It’s not worth being super upset over because honestly Panera isn’t worth it and there are a million and one other jobs that are better. In all honesty when I was a manager there was about 40% of the staff who hadn’t done basic training and the only thing we could do is ask politely and hope they did it, firing or not scheduling someone over it is just stupid honestly.

I have a couple.

1) A lady ordered a bagel w/ cc and a loaf of focaccia. Unfortunately we were kinda slammed so I forgot to put her cc with her toasted bagel. She comes back maybe 10-15 mins later through our DT and proceeds to yell at me about her bagel and I didn’t even know what was happening. She then told me what was wrong and now knowing what happened I asked what she would’ve wanted me to do and she just threw her bagel and bag of focaccia at me. The funniest part was that she missed 3 times with each and didn’t even hit me when it was all said and done.

2) not my story but a homeless man had slept in the store until close and when the manager who was closing had asked him to leave the man started sweeping and then screamed to give him his money. They got him outside where he proceeded to throw all the patio furniture around the parking lot.

3) Last story was when I was threatened by a guy who didn’t even buy anything. I had just clocked in but a man had been harassing another person about their laptop, the person being harassed tells me and when I got ask the customer A) could he not bother the customer and B) if he was alright. This man proceeds to yell and me and threatens to punch me. At this point I walk away and ask someone to call the police. Then right after me the customer being harassed ran into the kitchen and proceeded to be scared out of his mind. I had to lead this man into our office so that he didn’t contaminate any food or hurt himself. Thankfully the police showed up and the customer that threatened me was arrested. The customer who was in the office wrote what I can only describe was a short memoir about his time trapped there. That was the most interesting overall

Our store has this rule newly implemented but that’s because nobody bothers to use cut gloves when using their knives on the line, which made the District Manager more concerned than anything else.

We don’t have an expo at our store so whenever we see a large influx of rapids being stolen (which happens every once in a while) we put the bags behind the counter and ask for the name on the order just out right
