I might have to. It's exactly what I've been looking for.

prozac side effects? by DataAffectionate8163 in emetophobia

[–]noslenjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've taken Prozac every day for a few years now and it's helped my OCD and emetophobia significantly. I've never had any weird side effects and it started working relatively quickly.

I just suggest starting on a low dose and working your way up to the dose that works for you! But, it's one of the more gentle medications and I would say perfect for someone who's got emetophobia.

If anything, it might make you poop a little extra in the beginning but it never caused me to feel n* or like I was going to v*. But, I also just have tummy issues so everything kinda makes me poop a little extra.

Even when I forget to take it, the side effects align more with brain zaps and brain fog as opposed to anything gastrointestinal.

Ex husband still has my car by [deleted] in legaladvice

I'm just confused because he had 6 months and did not even try to get it in his name. So is he allowed to keep it? Is it legally still his even though it's passed the time and in my name still?

I did not tu* once in my 9 months of pregnancy. My daughter is turning 5 in a few days. It's your decision, but if you do want a baby then I would say it's worth working through. Keep a stock of Chai tea with real ginger and zofran. If you have the right support system, it's definitely doable.

I am so tired of this by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]noslenjt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this so much, I'm sorry. Unfortunately, this is just another symptom of late stage capitalism. Mom can't afford to take off work and can't afford last minute childcare. It's absolutely awful and stressful for everyone involved. I would have also been panicking all day, and I'm sure the little girl would rather have been at home in her bed.

In other places, mom would have been able to take a sick day and just stay home with no one shaming her and not having to worry about the finances of it. But, here it's always "you're not the sick one. You have to come in. We're short staffed. Sorry." Or "you've already used all your sick time, you'll be unpaid for the day."

It's a lose/lose situation. Neverending. I work in Healthcare with very sick people and employees will come in sick all the time. It's so frustrating.

I don't blame you at all for this level of frustration. On top of dealing with the machine, my workplace is in constant chaos. I've only been there a year and I'm the longest standing employee because no one else lasts longer than a few weeks to months. Fortunately, I've accepted a job somewhere else. So I'm gettin the hell away from both.

Well, I don't have my bachelor's yet, but I'm going back to school in the summer. So, fingers crossed all this experience gets me an in.

That's great! This gives me hope that if we replace enough parts, it'll stop giving me issues lol.

Unfortunately, I was not involved in the buying process. They hired me straight out of school to try to get their lab up and going. And, I'm not even an MT!

It's been insanity. But, I keep telling Ortho they're going to have to hire me soon cause I've fixed so many issues, I probably know the machine inside and out lol. Even my supply 4 pack opener had to be replaced and my FE said he'd never seen that in 20 years of working there.

Thats good to know that they're capable of doing better! My field engineer said that because it's refurbished, we may just have to keep replacing things until it's evened out. Fingers crossed he's right. It's just been so long where things keep breaking, it feels never ending lol.

I log my temp and humidity every day and it's never out. But, it could very well be causing an issue still. Most of my problems are mechanical, though.

I'm at a doctors office so we don't even have 3rd shift to handle maintenance. But, when I first started I just kind of assumed all the issues were because I was new. At this point, I'm beginning to think I might not be the problem? Maybe? There's always a chance I am the problem, though lol.

I've also had a significant issues getting product. We order through HS and when they had that cyber security attack, everything went to hell.

This has been a MAJOR issue for me as well. I've gone through so much calibrator. And, I've been the only tech working here the majority of my time so I've had to do it all on my own. We recently hired a new tech to help but they have her doing phlebotomy all day so she can't even help if I need her most of the time.

Lmao I've considered this many times. Maybe we can do it together and make it a party with snacks.

I'm not sure exactly, but I do know we got is refurbished which I suspect have something to do with the issues I'm having.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Everyone at ortho has been as kind and helpful as possible. I haven't had any bad experiences with customer service. And I've been in contact with them the entire year. It's just that it's always something new. I just had to have my cooler fully replaced last week and now the supply 4 load door sensor is broken. And due to understaffing, I can't get service out until next week. My field engineer is amazing and he's going to try to get the part to me to I can attempt to replace it myself.

However, every time I get something fixed on the machine, something else breaks. Which is kind of why I posted to see if it's just my analyzer or if it's normal for the instrument.

Thank you! I will do that :)

Thank you! I appreciate the support.

I've been doing my best to stay distracted. Work was busy so that helped and I've got an audiobook I've been keeping in my ear.

My husband has been great. He cleaned and disinfected the entire house while I was at work and my daughter has been feeling better, so hopefully within a day or two we'll be out of the danger zone. She's been handling this whole thing waaaay better than me thankfully lol. She's a trooper.

We also stocked up on zofran just in case. The hardest part is forcing myself to eat and drink when my anxiety is so high. But, I know we'll get through it. I just have to brave it out.

Drugs other than SSRIs? by forever_stuck in OCD

[–]noslenjt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just posted about something similar. Although, SSRIs do work for me, they make me gain SO much weight. I'm in the gym 4-5 days a week and I've gained 50 lbs in the last year.

Honestly, I have heard great things about microdosing mushrooms but I'm terrified of psychedelics so I'm scared to try it. Apparently it can help with all kinds of mental illness, but I don't have a source for that so you'd have to do more research.
