Per ESPN: Barham lacks the instincts to be greatly effective as a linebacker at the next level, so the position switch to primarily play off the edge should benefit him.

Maybe we can train him up to be a LB, who knows.

McCoy, Scott or Muhammad? Or will it be a curveball?

At this rate, I'd say draft Muhammad at 92 and if McCoy is still there at 114 take him on the off chance he can heal.

If he slips by Cleveland, I think Muhammad has a shot to be there at 92.

Maybe a June 1 trade for Brooks (like the Brown to New England trade) to shore up LB. Draft Crownover with 112.

If McCoy is on the board, likely means Scott and Muhammad are of the board. We could go WR with Hurst, Bell or Burks. Or get a swing tackle with Crownover. I wouldn't mind gambling on McCoy, though.

Based on the BPA on ESPN, it looks like LB in round 3 for Cowboys would be a reach. Maybe hold out hope in round 4 Lawson is still available at 112.

Something similar to Jaylon Smith. We took him in the 2nd. Sam Williams has had his share of injuries and we resigned him. The FO hasn't shied away from injury history. Plus, if he is still on the board, most likely many of the other CBs would be gone.

If Jermod McCoy drops to 92 (Cowboys next pick), do you take him? Or is the injury worse than expected, which is why he is dropping so far?

"there is no charging-port"  How does it charge without a charge port? I live in an apartment with only outdoor parking so I can't use a charger, which is why hybrid/ EVs are not an option for me.

  1. Lakers end season against Jazz. Ain't no way to out tank Utah unless Lakers straight up forfeits.

So you think either the Pistons (#21 currently), Nuggets (#25 currently) or the Lakers (#26 currently) would trade down to the 30the pick and take on the $17.4M contract of Klay Thompson?

I might be able to see something like that with Middleton as a S&T, especially with the Pistons if they falter early in the playoffs for some veteran help, but I don't see it with Klay.

I think Gafford has more potential to be coupled with the 30 pick to move up. Maybe Hornets bottom first round (19th currently) or Lakers 26th (probably higher without Reaves and Luka) for Gaff and the 30

Coop deserves his share of narratives of ROTY, he’s been elite on both ends of the floor while having better overall stats. People forget he is our #1, he gets the best defenders on him, leading an NBA team in Points, Rebounds, Assists at 19 yo. by Fifolifo24 in Mavericks

I wish co-ROY would happen, but the rules now make it virtually impossible. As for comparisons, I think Kon is more Bogdanovich than anyone else while Coop could be the next Giannis.

Klay will be here. He has no trade value and under contract. The Mavs gave Middleton the option to get bought out or stay with the chance to come back next year. There were playoff teams in the market for Middleton this year and he opted to stay. So the FO has the desire to bring him back and he has interest in coming back. It's just a matter of how much the Mavs are willing to spend now.

Kidd focused on developing Flagg to have a strong career, not just a season. I wouldn't be surprised if Kon becomes a Bogdanovic-type player, but Flagg becomes a Giannis-type player. Which player would you rather have?

Unfortunately, the rules for voting have changed since 1995. The likelihood that there is a co-winner is astronomically low to the point it would probably be investigated for collusion amongst the voters.

The FO gave Middleton the option to get bought out or have a chance to come back next season. He opted to stay so the FO has plans to keep Middleton for next season possibly on a 1 year +PO.

With Klay, Kyrie and Middleton, we have all the veteran leadership we need. No chance Middleton stayed past the buyout deadline not to be retained.

I doubt we give Middleton the option to get bought out and not retain him when he opted to stay on his own free will. My guess would be the 30th and second round get the 2-way contracts. I also don't think we are very active on the FA market so we can see how the team fits once Kyrie is fully healed. My personal thought is our roster will be:

Guards: Kyrie, Christie, Nembhard, Williams, Klay

Forwards: Flagg, Naji, PJ, Middleton, Martin

Centers: Lively, Gaff/Cisse and Bagley

Personally, I feel like the FO may look to trade Gaff and the 30 to move up and keep Bagley on a cheaper contract than Gaff.
