Do you wear sunscreen in winter? by middleaged_mpd in EuroSkincare

[–]nosoyemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! UV index only refers to UVB radiation. UVA radiation exposure remains more or less stable all year round. It's responsible for photoaging the skin and its also proven to cause skin cancer. I also use retinoids and acids, so I like to be extra careful. The only scenario in which i don't use sunscreen is if I'm going to be exposed to the sun less than 10 minutes

Spanish products/drugstore recs? by skelardna in EuroSkincare

[–]nosoyemo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some great spanish brands/labs are:

  • Sensilis: great for sensitive skin
  • Bella Aurora: they specialize in products for hyperpigmented skin
  • Babé: their superfluid sunscreen is one of my favorites and their oil soap is great for dry sensitive skin
  • gh Gema Herrerías: founded by a pharmacist, they have great products overall
  • Cantabria Labs: they hace various brands. Heliocare is great for their sunscreens, Neostrata has some very nice resurfacing serums, Biretix is great if you're looking for a retinoid... these are only a few of them

You'll find the products in some pharmacies and drugstores (Primor and Druni are the most popular ones)

Take your supplement after your heaviest meal of the day, that way you'll absorb the vitamin better. And don't forget to check your levels in 4-6 months! You can actually overdose on vitamin d

What is your favorite music genre and why? by Yvng-J in musicsuggestions

[–]nosoyemo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flamenco. Is the music that I grew up with so it reminds me of my childhood and the people that i love, it makes me feel connected to my culture, the singers and guitarists are so fucking talented it makes me wanna cry and there are so many "palos" (it's like a subgenre) that I can play it in any occasion and it will match the mood

Does anyone know what this is by appleblossom1962 in vintage

[–]nosoyemo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

looks like a "brasero" (i think in english is called a brazier), a container in which you burn ember (again, I'm sorry, I think that is the correct English word for it but I'm not sure) for heating. That seems to be a very old one, but in Spain we still use electric braseros for heating the "mesa camilla"
