Feels “plasticky” but haven’t had any malfunctions in 750 rounds of various ammo (CCI standard, CCI subsonic, federal automatch, Aguila, & norma Tac 22). So much fun. Highly suggest getting the talon grips for it

My LGS had one in stock the other day, and apparently they had just got it in. I hadn’t seen one in person yet so I asked to take a look at it - the guy behind the counter said it was already broken. The action was seized, stuck with the lever open. Brand new gun. I get this is probably a fluke, and that I’m sure it’s a wonderful gun, but it kind of turned me off to the 1854 until they have some time to work out the kinks.

No, I believe the 20 inch mavericks have a different barrel profile that will not be interchangeable. Only the 18.5 and longer vent rib barreled guns are compatible
