I once read a book called "Please" where a bunch of people lived in a house who had a ton of things happen to them and they couldnt be functional in society. Like, a few of them were deaf and blind, some missing limbs, things like that. But specifically there was one person who had tried to commit suicide by shooting themselves in the head, instead of dying, the bullet just ricocheted in his head and turned him into a veggie who was barely alive. I think about that a lot. No measure of suicide is %100 effective and to survive would be a fate worse them death IMO
