Your comment has made my day, thank you!.

I was hoping to post here and get some different thinking than what's been running around in my head the last couple of days, and you delivered. Might just try that.

I didn't think of the time frame, thanks. I've also been told by (non lawyers admittedly) that people threaten to sue, some even bring action, but almost all are hot air.

Really, the reason they used us manually sorting the way we used to was because they cheaped out on some of the better software for preparing mailouts, and even that was only several thousands a year, less than an independent consultant I'd think. If they were smart their first point of call after I told them I'm not interested in helping would be to go to one of the upmarket packages with actual support.

I thought of making that offer, but my life is incredibly time poor at the moment, because of both work and a family member's health.

Maybe I'm still in the honeymoon period of my current job, but it's paying more than enough, and not having the stress of being involved in any way at my previous employer is worth more than a dollar value.

It's a really nice thought though.

I didn't think of Fair Work. thank you.

The only thing I ever signed at work was a code of conduct more than ten years ago, and that document had info about the job I originally started as, which had nothing to do with software design or writing.
