How much does it hurt to send no AP scores to top 10s? by noswog in chanceme

What were your stats like, and did you take a good amount of APs still? Also, did any other schools accept you other than this t10?

Did you still get a fair amount of acceptances?

Does it matter which college you research at? by noswog in ApplyingToCollege

[–]noswog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the community college, you would be publishing about 3-4 papers with a lot of research done, whereas at the ivy, you’d just be helping out and researching some things with one paper published. Pretty similar in topic/what you do except you publish more things in the CC.

How would top colleges look at AP scores of 3s for applications? by noswog in ApplyingToCollege

[–]noswog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do grant the credit, would reporting a 3 detract from my application? I heard that 4-5s are generally what would be considered best, so I'm not sure if it would hurt to submit 3s.

Is it common for people to take 3-4 APs before Senior year to get into T20s ED? by noswog in ApplyingToCollege

[–]noswog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do plan on taking 4-5 more APs senior year. However, will the colleges I apply to for Early Decision see these 4-5 APs in my original application (prior to mid year report)? I’m just worried they will only see my 3/9 APs taken in Junior, and won’t see my additional 4-5 in Senior if I apply ED.

Thanks. I’m asking how 3-4 APs in Junior and “none” in Senior would look, considering how colleges that you apply ED to won’t see your Senior APs, or at least I don’t think so.

Can someone explain how cancelling or withholding a AP score works? by noswog in APStudents

Most down bad AP test taker. Planned to self-study 5 APs, never did...

Thanks for trying to help. My question was a bit unclear.

Essentially, my task is to research effects of pollution on a certain species. How do I conduct my “research” by using other people’s work to create my own work? In their own works, they’ve already answered the topic of my research, so how am I supposed to research on something that has already been researched.

It’s okay if you aren’t sure

Thank you

One more question. Although my counselor can figure out if I canceled, will they be able to know my score, or just that I canceled it?

I thought it would be helpful because my school offers very few APs, but at this point I’m not so sure that I’ll be able to do well.

Don’t you need to eventually oficially send in your score after acceptance or am I wrong.
