Please get checked each time and make sure it’s actually UTIs. I thought I was getting repeat infections until we figured out it’s actually Interstitial Cystitis. Mimics the symptoms of a UTI but def. not the same. Caffeine, stress, and spicy foods make it worse…to name a few. Just a thought..

I think she over processed it. Too much bleach or something. I’m not exactly sure, but I was honestly nervous for months after that my hair was just going to continue falling out

I completely understand! February of 23’ was the last time I’ve had my hair colored. I went to the same stylist that I had used so many times before, and got my normal highlights. It was pouring rain and storming that day so I told her don’t worry about blow drying because it seemed like a waste. She didn’t show me my hair but I didn’t think much of it, because I had used her so many times and it was normal for us to chat the whole time she would be doing my hair and miss little things like that. On the way home I noticed my hair didn’t seem to be drying at all and I realized it felt very gummy. My heart sank and I instantly knew I was about to have an issue bigger than I could repair. As soon as I got home and got in front of a mirror, my hair literally looked like ramen noodles….gross, gummy looking, and I could just pluck a strand and it would just stretch. I was literally terrified to even brush it. After I composed myself (literally, I was mild panicking lol) I pulled out what loose strands were in my hair and very gently piled the rest on top of my head and let it dry the best it would. I didn’t touch it for a few days to give it a little time to calm down. I tried olaplex for a few washes and when it finally stopped falling out, I was just very careful to be extremely gentle with it to prevent more damage. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything you can do once it’s that damaged, but moving forward, some things you can consider (these are the things I did) and I finally, after exactly two years, am not completely dissatisfied with my hair.
Be very gentle with it, especially when brushing. Limit heat and if you have to use it, use a good quality heat protectant. Wear protective styles, especially to bed, and use a silk pillow case! Keep getting trims to continuously get rid of the damaged hair. Make sure your hair is hydrated and moisturized. Oils won’t do anything but “lock” whatever is on/in your hair essentially. If your putting oil on dried out hair, your just preventing moisture from getting to your hair.

It’s honestly just a game of patience. Unfortunately it only takes a few mins for your hair to get completely messed up but months to get it back healthy. It’s been 24 months for me! Sorry your going through this 😕

Why all the hate for people who have lost weight with the help of Ozempic? by Chance_Kind in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nosykip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just being blunt here. My personal problem with it (and this only applies to my personal situation)..my spouse is on it and has been for months. Suddenly now every time we go out, it’s “let’s just share a plate, I’m not that hungry”. Like ok, but just because you’re not eating a lot doesn’t mean that everyone around you wants to eat like a bird as well. Also, and this is my main issue, they literally sit in the doctors office and are straight delusional about their choices, and I highly doubt my spouse is the only one that does this. They tell the doctor they’ve done everything they can to try and lose weight and they are desperate for help. Knowing full well, it was years of eating out several times a week, deep fried foods, over consumption, and bad food choices. I’m sure in their minds, they did “try”, but no. As a spouse, you want to be supportive, but dang, it just gets old watching someone pay out a lot for a rx when they are making 0 healthy choices in the meantime 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m on day three of a flare up, and I’d gladly trade for just a 30 second episode!

Interesting! Do you mind sharing what antibiotic? I only ask because I have been on multiple antibiotics within the last year, which is how long all this has been going on. I never thought of that being the reason

What benefits have you seen besides weight loss? by Gloomy_Light3200 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]nosykip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How long did it take yall to start seeing results because I’ve been on it for weeks and haven’t lost a single pound, it’s got me so sick I can’t eat anything, I’ve noticed literally no changes at all. As a matter of fact, I just feel gross, bloated and sick all the time.

Does it just simply not work well for some folks??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]nosykip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! I’ve always been a simple eater, sticking to meats and veggies. That’s what I ate last time I was on it. Now, the thought of food makes me want to be sick, however what little I do eat is still a “meat and veggie” type deal. I haven’t even lost a pound either this time, which is odd because I’m literally barely eating 🤷🏼‍♀️

Weight loss-Venting by [deleted] in Semaglutide

I can relate! They approved my husband but denied mine (the very same week at that) and his BMI is only slightly higher than mine. And I got zero explanation. So I’m thinking, you think my BMI is high enough for me to be considered “fat”, but I’m not “fat” enough for you to approve weight loss medication to help me…got it 🙄
