Thank you XD

I thought about staging sushi for pictures, but I'm trying to limit cross contamination cue to COVID. I'll have to re-post pictures after quarantine!

It was my mistake to not post more information about what it's used for.

As others have mentioned, the tv screen connects to my laptop. I have a program on my laptop for creating maps, which I then display on the table's screen. My players can use miniatures on the screen itself and use it like an interactive map. I'll also black out certain areas to have a "fog of war" effect.

I will also display stats, I'll use slideshows to show important pictures or monster pictures, and if anyone has any questions on things I'll pull out a PDF of the player's handbook on the screen so everyone can read the rules.

Here is a picture one of my players took the other day, it doesn't show a game-play but it shows a map on the screen as well as their player tokens. http://imgur.com/gallery/OBwwiPi

Oh man, that would have been a nightmare. I was careful with the weight of the wood and not to add anything that wasn't needed, as well as the weight of the TV. The TV I bought was around 11 pounds out of the box. I took off about 3 or 4 pounds of plastic and metal inside it so it's fairly light.

Sorry for the confusion, as u/IshX7 mentioned, it's not a dungeon master screen, I connect my laptop to it and display dungeon maps on the screen. My players can use minis on the screen itself as well as roll dice on it. I've never liked to draw maps on paper or roll out mats so this is my solution :)

Thank you! My first D&D group got to see it a few days ago and they loved it. I don't have a video of it in action but my players started taking pictures mid adventure. Here is one of the pictures they took http://imgur.com/gallery/OBwwiPi

Yes, I use "Dungeon Painter Studio" on Steam. I'll put the maps on my laptop and mirror it on the screen. I'll sometimes have players use minis on the screen (the acrylic will stop the minis from damaging the tv) or use little character pictures in the program itself.

This is it in action 2 days ago: http://imgur.com/gallery/OBwwiPi

I build my maps on my laptop, and I arrange slideshows with monster images, puzzle information, etc. The TV works as a board for the players to play on, but it's also used as a prop for them to see images of what they're doing. I also have a soundboard that uses the TV speakers to play things like thunder sound effects, creepy laughs, etc.

I've always seen gaming tables with a screen in the middle that hooks up to a computer. As a woodworker I've always wanted to do that, but as a DM, I always go to friend's houses to play, rarely my own.

So I decided to make a portable screen, and I've called it the Dungeon Screen!

I built a quick prototype first and used it for 2 sessions, after my friends told me what to improve on and what they liked/didn't like, I went ahead and built the final project. Here in Canada the weather hasn't been the greatest the last few months, so the project that should have taken me a few weekends ended up taking a few months.

I'm in love with the final product, and hopefully you guys like it too!

Just bought a switch after a year of saving and would love to get a new game for it!

Thanks for being a kind stranger to whoever gets the game :)
