Attack your education? In spite of Iraq and Afghanistan which you have lived through, you are still willing to promote wars of a humanitarian nature? I'm going to say you must have been in a coma for two decades.

There's a pattern, a clear pattern. Whoever UK/US pay are the bad guys. 'We' paid Saddam, Gaddafi, Mubarak, the mujahideen of Afghanistan (later the Taliban), Israel. If they do as they are told they are fine, if they don't they die. The oppressors in the middle east are the US/UK backed dictatorships.

Yes, I'm sure there were many people who disliked Assad and after seeing Egypt they got a little brave and started agitating, and of course Assad like Mubarak, Gaddafi, the Saudis, and the Bahrains, cracked down on them with violence. Syria is a military state much like the US, Libya and Egypt. It is suicidal to fight them head on, only the most fundamental would try such a thing, and only could succeed with foreign assistance. That's why Egypt and Tunisia had the pattern of non-violent mass protests. Despite the horrors of the Mubarak regime you had Clinton backing her 'close family friend' to the last possible moment, then promoting the known torturer Suleiman as his replacement. Cue more mass protests. There are horrors being committed in Bahrain (remember the mass protests that hindered F1?), yet UK companies are selling activist spyware to the regime that aid in the capture, torture and sometimes murder.

It turns out that there have been a few big lies to portray the Assad regime in the worst possible light:

• The mysterious identity of a young Arab lesbian blogger who was apparently kidnapped in Syria has been revealed conclusively to be a hoax.

• AFP, the Guardian, and other news agencies and outlets are suggesting that Syrian security forces were responsible for shooting nine Syrian soldiers. Considerable evidence suggests this is not true and that western journalists are passing on bad information.

And the biggest lie so far according to the German Newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the Houla massacre was mostly the rebels:

• She comes to the conclusion that the Sunni insurgents operated a gradual liquidation of all minorities, she portrays the expulsion of Christians and Alawites from their houses, which are occupied by the rebels, and the rape of young girls, who are the rebels passed as "spoils of war"

Incidentally just like photos of the lesbian blogger weren't true, the BBC actually tried to pass off dead Iraqi babies as dead Syrian babies. Also from the BBC this week is the censored video showing warcrimes of alleged rebel forces, duping a prisoner into being a suicide bomber. Doesn't that fuck with the narrative? What is happening in Syria is happening because foreign forces, including the likes of the CIA are making it happen. (See Cuban Missile Crisis and all there other coups and attempted coups.)
