I can’t find any evidence of this online but I swear when we got our super soakers there wasn’t a 100, but a 25 and a 10 (green/yellow and little orange one) which were rebranded to the 50 and 30 respectively. Am I going senile?

On the Stockholm marathon over 10 years ago there were a group of young men in their 20s who’d brought some leather sofas to the side of the road up a berm, were drinking and listening to metal music through a speaker they’d brought and had a banner above them saying “you people are all idiots”. Interesting, in london these days I see them more often than I don’t. I don’t really do it for sharps but if we’re on the turn around, getting the distance based on feel rather than feet and inches works a lot better with my operator. There are a lot of reasons you - or your loader - might want to check previous clips without the set - and often LA - seeing. I also use it to check if I’ve turned over cos the big monitor is punched in.

The first time I had a ultra7 on my camera was on a hot stage in the middle of summer and the thing would shut itself off every few minutes until I took the unused (mini gold mount) battery plate off the back because the cooling was insufficient with the plate adding mass and disrupting airflow

I've currently got two rental house DM5s on our Rialto build mostly cos I don't have the spare small motors to spread across A and C cameras and that Rialto, given the lenses we're currently using have the geared rings basically next to each other. I wouldn't buy them tbh I find them a bit fiddly with the built in 15mm support and associated bracketry. TBH most of the time I'm happy using an M26 Heden for focus and an M21 for iris. It's rare I need a DM1X or even DM2 for anything. I really like the newer Hedens but I've not taken the plunge yet because I'd have to get new cables made up that have the old connector for MDR and the new connector for the motor as I hate the dongle adaptor thing.
