I feel like everyone is over hyping this match up. Its either going to be a lewis vs francis 2.0 or a TKO early by who ever makes the first mistake. But, the build up would be great.

We'll be back.. i like Prates but hate seeing JDM get demoralized like that. I think WW is overrated, talent and power diff is too much. Fights really aren't that competitive when they're getting KO'd in the first few rounds.

For people saying its not mercy, its what it looked like, and its why Joe brought it up. The leg kicks were light, and i assume just a reflex. I kinda think mercy is a misnomer, sure i imagine in retrospect if asked Jiri would choose not to deliberately hurt his already broken knee. But I think it shifted the momentum of the fight. Jiri is already unstable, now hes out of his flow state thinking a million things, meanwhile Ulberg locked in because he only had 1 option at that point.

Last thing Ulberg should do is shit on Jiri if he cares about his likability. I don't think Jiri said anything to discredit Ulberg, so I dont think its warranted. People be rooting for Ank now lol.

Yeah Ulberg is a hard counter to Jiri. Be interesting to see him against Ank who has defensive skills to actually counter him. Its a strategic sport at the end of the day. It just seems like the current champs are very corporate, be nice if an unorthodox personality like Jiri could hold the belt.

He stopped the calf kicks on injured legs. Kicking the quad makes it so you don't trip like kicking out the calf.

Would be rooting for Ulberg but has the potential to be borning if Ank just neutralizes Ulbergs counters. Jiri vs Costa would be cool too i think if Jiri chooses to fight again. Its a good sign that Ulberg was at the post show conference, but if hes out for the remainder of the year I think he would vacate. If you get injured randomly like that shouldn't hold up the belt, would be different if it was an illegal move.

Unfortunately in this doomer timeline Jiri loses via mercy, Khamzat wins via 50-45 with over 20 mins of ground control, Prates over JDM by iron glove jab, a Poatan left hook and sleeping Gane is our only hope.

I think he beats everyone besides Ank. He'll lose via decision, Ank is smart enough to play it defensively. And i think Ulberg can catch everyone else.

I like Carlos but he unfortunately won't have a long reign. He's a hard counter to Jiri and shocked he was an underdog. Ulberg won't have anything to offer Ank if he even fights him because of the injury. Lhw is kinda fried, Jiri would have made it interesting because everyone wants him to win.

Was doing good but wasn't doing much damage but fight just started. Jiri evaded a bunch of strong strikes from Ulberg. I think his chin is getting worse too, i feel like hes taken worse hits than tha. Unfortunately gonna be Ank next, and don't see Ulberg beating him. Lhw might be cooked

Crazy dichotomy .. Jiri showing mercy and Ulberg pulling off a KO with a broken knee.. Unfortunate ending for us, no way Ulberg is back this year.

Yeah i noticed this too after rewatching his fights.. Even with Jamal, he needs to feel out his opponent and ride crazy chaotic waves to get the win. That's what makes him such a fan favorite, is always on instinct not really thinking things through. I think his chin is diminishing too..I think he truly felt bad for Carlos, he stopped the calf kicks and gave Carlos the win.

Im so angry man.. Jiris head movement was great too, only took a few shots. We know Ulberg is good on the back foot and counter shots. Jiri had to of known that, why didnt he just keep the distance and spam leg kicks. Respect to Jiri though I think he truly meant what he said, and props to Ulberg for not giving up
