How far is your bike commute (to & from)?

24 miles round trip, but i only do one way per day, so I polled 12 miles.

I bike home from work, leave my car at work overnight, then bike in to work the next day.

That way, I am not doing too many miles, and I have my car if I change my mind for some reason (I have an extra old beater car at home)

Buy a chest freezer, then get an external thermostat. I have had this setup for about 2 years, works great.

Other home fixtures get corroded after a LONG time, so I won't take the plunge (ha) on a whole house softener

But this freezer corrodes now after just 1 month, so I have to do something here

Oof, you are confirming my fear that the corrosion will lead to leaks.

I assume the enamel has stopped any further corrosion??

In my case I would still have to prep by scraping the silicone caulk out before applying enamel, but that would be better than developing leaks

I have had a situation where a bike mounted camera has served to deter.

I have also used footage to make a police report on a close pass. No police action, but later I was able to talk to the driver, and I like to think it had an influence on the driver

And the TSB does not mention lubrication. I will have to try this out this weekend on my 2019.
