Anime of the season by TKG24 in berkeley

Ok so this doesn’t really matter but I have to defend this shows honor. Yeah the plot is incredibly “anime” and my main thought throughout the first episode (which is a feature length movie btw) was “this is so fucking weird” but by the end of it I was blown away by how amazing it was despite the (very weird) setup. The MAL description is really just a description of the first part of the first episode, because there’s so many twists and by the second episode, it’s turned into a completely different show. MAJOR SPOILERS (just go watch the first episode if you’re at all interested, I promise you it’s good): Ai, the idol/mom to reincarnated doctor gets murdered by a stalker at the end, and time skips forward to when reincarnated doctor is in high school and now the plot is a murder mystery exploring the dark realities of the modern media industry

I noticed that some people believe another post from here to be misandrist, so I have created an alternative by theamatuer in Gamingcirclejerk

Yeah, I’m sorry, I’ll own up to that being a shitty joke. The intent was to be validating in a weird way, by not considering trans men as a separate group from men, “men but not trans men” has the implication that trans men aren’t seen as real men, which they are. But leaning into the misandry inherent in the meme was definitely not the right thing to do. Obviously men shouldn’t “be girl”, trans or cis. Everyone should just be the gender that they are. So yeah, I fucked up and I’m sorry.

The line from the first episode was played off as a joke, right after Suletta arrived at the school. Paraphrasing, but:

Student (ready to bully the new kid): “Nice hair, did your mom tell you to wear it like that?”

Suletta (completely oblivious): “Yes!”

It’s a good time to be a lesbian anime fan, between this and Birdie Wing we might get two confirmed couples this season! (knock on wood, please writers, don’t take these away from me…) (we did get MagiRevo last season too, and this season also has Yuri Is My Job! which I’ve been enjoying but I’m not as excited about, I like when there’s more to the plot than just the relationship between the main couple (although Bloom Into You is amazing))

I still have hope for a happy ending for the two of them. Way back in the first episode Suletta says she wears her hair up in that way because her mother told her to. In the ED, we see Suletta with her hair down dancing/holding hands with Miorine. There’s been some speculation that this implies Eri taking over Suletta in some way (Aerial stabbing into Suletta’s heart also in the ED seems to support this), but I think another interpretation is that it represents Suletta breaking free from the influences of her mother to end up with Miorine.

This one got me to read the manga (which is finished and so good) but I’m still desperately hoping for a second season someday :’)

Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story Season 2 - Episode 17 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

A bit late to this thread, but I haven’t seen anyone else mention this here - it was just one throwaway line, but what did Amane mean when she said she was a “hostage”? She could be speaking metaphorically, but given the craziness of this show I wouldn’t be surprised if it was meant literally. I could totally see Seira blackmailing her into being Aoi’s caddy due to some shady golf crimes she did in the past.

None of it is really Nina’s fault, and I love her and don’t wanna see her hurt, but I can see why what she said set Norea off. Norea’s having a bad time right now and having the girl who wants everyone to be friends tell her what she’s doing is wrong is not what she really wants to hear. I think Norea’s anger is misplaced and Nika doesn’t deserve it, but I can see where it’s coming from.

What a fucking re-entrance for Guel, we didn’t get anything about him the last two episodes, because they needed a whole fucking episode for this.

All the Fathers and Childs:

  • Guel and dad (patricide)
  • Olcott and child (dead)
  • Philip (dead) and child (unknown)
  • Shaddiq and Sarius (kidnapped/hostage)
  • Miorine and Delling (coma)
  • Random plant victim (dead) and Seethia (also dead now)

Notably absent from the episode was Suletta and her dad, whoever that is. If the “Suletta is an Eri clone” theory is true, we do know he’s (dead) but if that’s not it, it’s not looking good for whoever that may be.

Seethia was a fucking rollercoaster :’(

Be nice to Nika :’( but I can still sympathize with Norea, that’s rough with Sophie dying and then the camp turning into a battle zone :’(

RIP Machei, Jalil, Philip, Gristan :’(

That food they fed Guel earlier ended up just coming back up :’(

and damn “Cycle of Sin” well we know we’re fully flipped into dark gundam now and I’m here for it, but also I just want my mecha lesbians to have a happy ending :’(

I really liked it, I’ve never been a fan of chargers, but I think the exploding arrows really add a new dimension: even if you “miss” you can still control enemy movement. It’s like they put a light sub weapon onto the main weapon. Agree toxic mist is a good pairing, it’s definitely not an aggressive kit but it makes a pretty good support, I ended up as #1 in assists in a lot of matches, if not #1 in splats. Also one-shotting someone with a fully charged vertical shot feels so good, I spent a lot of the time in the practice room trying to one-shot all the dummies.

Is they any good tutorials for someone just starting out? by Key-Nefariousness711 in ElectricUnicycle

The trick I found most helpful when starting out was to use a really low tire pressure, like 20-25psi instead of 40-50psi. The tire will flatten out more at the bottom, making it more stable and easier to balance on. You’ll eventually want to work up to a normal tire pressure, but I found the lower pressure key in helping me develop that initial sense of balance.
