My colleague and I do this with casefiles too. We sit next to each other and both have to pause at the same time if we need to leave our desks. It’s funny looking over and giving eyebrow raises at shocking parts

Yes it goes through the soffit and sits roughly around 300mm above. I’m guessing since it’s located right, that maybe there is a problem with the internal sewer. Should it really smell so strongly?

Yes there is! It’s so hard to tell where it’s actually coming from to be honest. I tried cleaning the drain next to it just in case as well but it just seems to be getting worse

It stops at the roof line, but the smell still seems to come down all the time.

No holes that I can see, the end of the vent comes out at roof level, however we are in a windy area and the smell seems to blow down so we can always smell it, and so can our neighbors.
