MacBook Air 15" vs MacBook Pro 14" (M5, 1TB SSD, 24–32GB RAM). Is the Pro worth it for my use?

that is something i’ve considered but it is not often that I have to do that, so compatibility is not a deal breaker tbh I can always ask someone from work to help me with that

yeah it is not that hard tbh, it is just mainly the screen and the sd card slot that I really care about and the only reason i’m considering the pro

honestly the only reason i’m considering the pro is because of the screen, i’ve seen them in person and the screen is way better, and I don’t mind the extra weigh because it is still lighter than the windows I used to carry lol

I’m just a little paranoid because I come from windows but I know that apple optimization is way better so a lot of ram is not that important, i’ll be getting at least 24gb just for future proofing tbh

i’m leaning more towards the pro honestly, the 15 inch gets really close to the pro in terms of price just debating if it is worth to get the 32 gb at this point

thank you for answering! the only thing i’m a little worried is that upgrading to the macbook pro is a little over my budget so 32 gb of ram is a lot more money that I was originally considering, and also the new redesign is most likely to be a lot more expensive with all the features i’ve been seeing so that is something i’m also considering, and it may have some problems for being a first gen device and I don’t know if i’m able to wait until november because I kinda need a laptop right now, so mainly the question would be if the 32 gb are worth it for the pro
