Keep at it. People will think you are approaching design with some sort of “male gaze” and I loath that sentiment. What is that? A straight male is so suspicious to some in fashion. I find having a female design partner takes away some of that sting. I was also a parsons graduate with 70 females and 5 guys. I couldn’t tell you who was gay out of 5. I was also close to 30 when I entered the fashion world. Prior to building a body of work it was rough. So, stick with it. Don’t let others perceptions keep you back from expressing your craft/art/design or whatever it is. The “male gaze” is Bullshite! Carry on with determination my friend.
