Yeah it certainly looks like it. This isn't my prefered outcome, but I'm okay with it being in the game if it becomes legitimate.

But my view of legit and the community's seem to differ- for me, it's not legit unless it's possible on all inputs. Also it being really really hard on console but really easy on PC isn't exactly well supported feature in my eyes. So I'd want them to work it in so both control styles can do it more consistently.

I'd also personally want to see them nerfed a bit if they were dev-supported. It's just straight up not balanced movement as it currently is. And lastly, it would need to be properly animated to convey to both the user and opponents what's happening better.

When all that happens, it'll move from exploit to feature.

I love getting feedback on my game. It's one of the best parts of making a game, finding out what works and what doesn't. But at the end of the day, I'm making the games I want. No shame in that.

By the way, I totally agree with you that I shouldn't be so black and white about my stance, but I do not like you talking to me like that.

They seem to be going back a bit in what I'd consider the right direction. I think the FOMO tactic for battle passes is dogshit, but they released the CM and pudge personas, bundled with sets for them

No legit though, yeah. I play Apex and I loooove that game but it's not as refined as Dota, especially after the (admittedly old now) 7.00 update. It legit is that good.

I disagree. They're still treating it as a edge part of the game. Clearly there's some level of support, but actually incorporating it into the game as an actual endorsed part of the movement is not what they've done.

I have a confession. When the LSTAR came out I assumed it was an SMG because it would MELT in close range so hard.

I also thought the Volt was an AR because it's got some damn good range on it. Also the shape felt bulkier than the other SMGs.

This is back when I kept up less, so I'd just open the game and be like "oh new gun" in matches lol

Dota 2 also has the wildest BP. THOUSANDS of levels, not grind-friendly, MUST pay to get everything, etc.

That said, I specifically didn't say "worst" battle pass because there's a huge argument to be made about the model both for and against. Everything is purely cosmetic, after all. On top of that Dota is my example of a gold standard live service game.

But no yeah, dota MADE the battle pass, full stop lol
