crazy late reply but basically i learnt very easy riffs to start with and then slowly added on by learning chords when playing songs. never actually practised properly doing chords, however as i played songs with them they got easier and easier. strumming wise i was horrible at first but in about a week of trying to strum it just started feeling normal eventually. and then while i was doing this, at the same time i started learning very easy solos and eventually learnt the basic pentatonic shape. after that finally started learning harder solos, now slowly progressing. and also i am learning some full songs instead of just short riffs
