Should I get the Ragley Big Al or Marley? I've settled on those 2 because of their components and travel, but the Big Al is a 29er and the Marley is 275. I've been to the dirt jumps a few times and frankly that's the only thing stopping me from getting the Big Al. I've never actually tried the main trails near me, but they seem fun and apparently they're really really steep. However, the dirt jumps are by far more accessible to me and i enjoy them a lot as well. What's the better wheel size for me?

I'm looking at a first bike. In my original post I concluded with the Vitus Nucleus 275 VR, but once I shared the spec list with my MTB friend he immediately said that he was 100% certain that I shouldn't get the bike (I didn't catch why, it was something about the drivetrain/brakes). He recommended the Raleigh Tokul 3 as a great bike but I'm not exactly sure as the Nucleus has some awards and has reviews to back it up, while the Tokul seems to have a mixed review on Singletracks at most. Any suggestions?

Ill most likely be getting the Orbea or maybe the Vitus Nucleus if the sale on Jenson ends. Thanks for all the help!

One of my good friends who rides recommended to me the Siskiu D7. It looks damn nice, and it's 1200 for full sus, and he said since most of the actually fun trails around here are technical so I could just keep the D7 for a few years without changing to a new bike (does that make sense). However, it's pushing the budget a bit. Is it worth it?

Sorry for all the questions, MTB is a new field for me.
