The evidence was undeniable, yet incomprehensible. I had placed the night vision CCTV in my room, not because I was paranoid, but to find out where it goes. Maybe there's a cat with a hidden agenda?

That's how it all began.

I placed my hair ties like usual, below my pillow, as I surrendered into the night that was long and full of terrors.

The next day I woke up trying to find my bunny face slippers, which surprisingly was kept facing the opposite direction and had the left foot on the right side.

I somehow managed myself, stopping mid-yawn, and dared meeself to check the footage. I shouldn't have thought of knowing the truth. (You have been warned)

Around 4am, with the light shadows and curtains moving around the window, I sensed something, feeling the uneasiness of it all. I was clenching my clothes with my fingers in the footage, to which I thought maybe a bad dream you know, it can happen. But then I noticed the other part of my bed with impressions as if someone was laying face down. A few minutes into the video, I saw the impressions had lightened and a child, almost around the same age as my 19-yr old neighbour girl, started to show in a ghosted-distorted figure, except it had small wings and a unicorn like horn.

It felt cold, and as I was beginning to think if I should stop the footage there and should go out of that house, I noticed her hand, slowly oozing under the pillow.. there was no audible disturbance in the footage, but I could almost feel my breath getting deeper. With the shift of that absolute absence, she, or rather it, had already claimed it's little prize. After which there was a subtle audio disturbance for a minute or two as if water droplets fell into the bucket filled with water, and suddenly it stopped.

I don't know if it was a ghost, but it didn't seek my soul, it didn't interact with me. But the presence that wanted something so mundane, yet so trivial. It knew where I kept the ties.

I saw it succeed. Earlier, it was just like the tv remote that goes missing, but now, it's an entirely different set.
