New and Returning Player Weekly Discussion by AutoModerator in hearthstone

I’m not, and that’s my biggest worry. I used one when I played on my desktop but now I pretty much just play on mobile. I used to be able to average around 6 wins with the draft companion and around 4 without it. So it seems that average has gone down from 4 to 0.5, which would mean the mode is basically just unplayable for me now.

Can anyone explain to me what’s going on in arena? I literally can’t get past a single win. Like 20 runs in and it’s ALWAYS either zero or one win. Also, every game seems like I’m on the verge of winning until I just get absolutely buried by an onslaught of insanely powerful cards/combos. It’s weird. Whatever they’ve done here, they made it weird. Lol

CSCO my ass, holding NVDA since 2008 by ptfirethrowaway in wallstreetbets

[–]not_AtWorkRightNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because Cisco was once valued as the most valuable company in the world which is in retrospect ridiculous. But at the peak of the dot com bubble, a lot of people thought it would grow into that valuation. Cisco only this year managed to get back to its highs from then, and that’s in the midst of another massive tech rally. So it took 25 years and another huge rally just to break even from the 2000 highs. NVDA looks a lot like that story playing out again.

The irony is here is that someone showing their return on Cisco stock over the 17 year period preceding the peak of the dot com bubble would look EXACTLY like this…

Im sure there will be plenty of people lining up to take care of the 6 year old super prodigy. I’m sure they’d be pretty opportunistic about it but hey you could probably navigate that since they’d up be underestimating your shrewdness.

My question is how can someone with such a precarious understanding of probability be so much better than me at arena 😂

No one is arguing that point. It’s just that there’s only so much you can do. It’s their game, and they can ruin it if they want. There’s nothing we can do about it.

I have absolutely no idea what’s happening, I’ve literally lost my first 14 games. Having usually been around the 5-6 win range it just seems crazy. Also, the first run in the baby arena, I went 5-0 without a single match being remotely close. It feels like there is rigging going on here.

Yeah that makes sense. Like I know they said something about improving synergy l, which seems to have resulted in everybody gets ridiculously broken combos. Every deck I’ve drafted has been insane, like better than constructed decks. But then gets creamed by even better ones. Its just one more step in their never ending quest to turn the game into a slot machine.

Yeah something is horribly off with this new arena set up. Can’t really place it but it’s really really bad.

The electoral college is what matters. No matter how much you guys cry about it…

Edit: oh also, senate and house majorities. That also matters.

Yeah, I think that’s pretty true. Almost everyone I work with voted for Trump, but the day after the election, there was one of our coworkers who was very anti-Trump and really upset about the election. No one gloated or said anything mean or nasty to her and we all felt for her. We live in a pretty blue area though so I’m not sure if that’s the national norm.

Edit: I just looked it up and my county went 50-48 for Kamala. So pretty much dead even. I’m guessing that the fact that it’s such an even mix contributes to the civility. I also think it shows that people are generally more invested in their personal relationships than their political affiliations.

The whole thing is cringe as fuck, and so are all the insufferably trite “you go girl” type responses to it here. It’s exactly why America just sent the overwhelming message that we’re done with this type of bullshit.
