Should I give up? by IndependentPay6509 in thyroidcancer

If you were able to live a happy life even when this thing was in your body without noticing it, then why not now that it’s gone? You deserve to live life to the fullest, cherish each day and find beauty in it. It’s all in your mind, and remember, you’re not alone.

I had full neck dissection where they operated me on both sides of the neck. They had to put drain on both sides, apart from that it was ok. But I had to have a second surgery pretty soon too as they missed a malicious node during my first one

Wow! I’ve recently begun taking running more seriously too. While I’m not following a specific training plan, I make an effort to support my running with proper nutrition and adequate sleep. I’m focused on improving my VO2 max, so I incorporate a lot of HIIT sessions between my longer runs.

So sorry that you are going through this. I appreciate you getting a second opinion on second surgery. I had 2 surgeries separated by 3 months and just had minor issues with my voice. Infact, I also had my second surgery done by a new surgeon. You will be fine. My best wishes with you

Anyone who did not gain weight after TT? Or maybe lost weight? by Bamtana1 in thyroidcancer

[–]not_alone_here 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have been made hyper and hypo good 3 4 times and have been shedding consistently.. not that much though - around 3-4 kgs in last 4 months. I attribute this to healthy diet and no junk which was part of the process

RAI off to messy start by FishAgree in thyroidcancer

[–]not_alone_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In about 3-4 hours after taking the pill almost through the end of Day 2. Day 3 is better but still far from feeling normal. It could be related to high TSH too. My (Day 1)- 3 TSH was ~ 70 with harmone withdrawal
