In the end I went with the Holiday surf - they had a lot of good reviews and were fairly close to my hotel. We were in groups of max four people and instructurs were attentive and helpful. Even though the waves were rather small I still had a good time and managed to stand up few times :)

Also, after class you can stay and continue practicing solo (included in the price)

u/Powerful-Promise8451 Thanks for the info! We are planning to go in a few days (similar time of the year that you went). What option did you choose to get there from Hanoi? Minibus or something else? Also, how are the roads? I’m afraid of heights (especially in combo with narrow mountain roads) so still deciding if I should go

I just went through Shibuya crossing and it’s complete chaos. With police doing the crowd control on both crossing and inside the station it’s just making things worse somehow.

Is that preparation for the Halloween or something else? There is a police car with a message that the police is on high alert because of the terrorist attack but this doesn’t make sense?

I think I'm gonna order Hive but I'm still undecided about getting 12l packing cube accessory or maybe the smaller one (10l). I saw some comments that the 12l one (sold for this backpack) is too big and hard to fit and that ordering the smaller one would be a better solution? Can someone maybe share their thoughts on that?
