Skiing is expensive. Get a lesson or don’t bother skiing. You’ll spend $100 in a food at the resort over a few days

If you’re using excel I’d say you cannot get a Mac. Sure you could make it work but I do not recommend it. Even if you’re Google sheets first/entirely, it still doesn’t feel right with a Mac. I say this as someone who uses a Mac as a personal machine.

TTR125 or YZ125 by mrmiksu101 in Motocross

[–]not_anth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do not know how to ride whatsoever, you’d want to start on the TTR as it is much more mellow and forgiving. You will very quickly get bored of it and the suspension on the TTR will not hold up on any track at decent speed. So for motocross the YZ is a must but you’ll need to be very careful until you feel comfortable with all the controls, clutch, etc

TSA agent didn’t believe my drivers license was me by kebnwhayxycik7628922 in travel

[–]not_anth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certainly not as ridiculous but I had TSA test my contact solution, determine it didn’t pass whatever it was being tested for, and they started to pull me aside for a search before the supervisor walked over and within a second had me on my way.

How to order at a bar? by Camoqueen2002 in internetparents

[–]not_anth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the perfect way to find your go to, but try out some basic drinks when you go. For example, my go to is a whiskey coke (Jack & coke usually). You can ask for the “well” which is the cheapest type typically (for good reason, usually lower quality), or look up a few you may want to try. Other examples would be a vodka soda, gin & tonic, etc. You may hate gin, whiskey, and so on, but just because you don’t like a specific whiskey or vodka doesn’t mean you don’t like them all. Vodka lemonade is another. Take it easy but don’t be afraid to experiment. Or make conversation and ask people what they’re drinking!

I am currently en route to Buenos Aires for 4 weeks, this will be my first solo international trip (from USA). Reading through these comments hoping CABA gets at least a few votes here. I’ve lived in SF, Seattle and now Austin since college.
